EVGA is/was also my preference, but after last gen’s overheating issues with the 1080FTW cards i’m considering a different brand. Either that or wait till the first round of EVGA’s 20XX cards have had some time in the sun.

so .. I just went and checked. On PS4 with a brand new account Adventure Mode is unavailable under game settings, and it states you need to complete Act V of the campaign to unlock it.
well... you’ll have to complete the campaign to unlock the ability to do certain things like adventure mode (on new characters) if it’s anything like the original console version.
that’s not the point. I fully appreciate this is a large undertaking that takes time and effort, but things like this (using a companies IP) are generally only free for use if there’s absolutely no way for money to be recovered. whether that’s through sales or solicited donations makes no difference.
they have a Patreon, therefore yes, they are making money off this.
the Monster Manual is going to be ~ 4 pages long
yet they’ll still sell it as a hardcover at full price
... new muscle simulation system, new camera capture system, new compositing systems - all of which have become standards or benchmarks other implementations have aimed toward within the vfx field. Avatar without a doubt has been massively influential to the industry - but moreso to those working within it, rather…
CGI is definitely not cheaper than costumes. Costumes however force the filmmakers to plan and make decisions early since there’s no practical way other than reshoots to address mistakes or omissions. Also as mentioned much of what you consider computer generated in JP is likely to be practical puppets - they did an…
Within the vfx industry Speed Racer has had very little impact - I know some people that worked on the visual effects but never mention a squeak about it; in a good or bad light.
For me the dragons/effects in Reign of Fire were substantially better as far as creature work goes. Dragonheart was severely let down by it’s voice cast.
The grappling hooks in Worms: Directors Cut probably stick in my memory the strongest. Could not beat getting accidentally tangled on that invisible pixel, much to the amusement of everyone else (same screen multiplayer ftw) then pressing space and hoping not to be vaulted into the wide blue yonder.
Well, in this case you haven’t bought it, you’ve leased it
oh absolutely. I think people have mentioned that the cost/value rose once they made it possible to convert them to BlizzardBucks to purchase Overwatch or whatever from the store. I have to say I’m not sure I’m looking forward to being practically destitute once Classic rolls around.
at current exchange rates one wow token is about 220k gold, and that token can add 30 days of gametime.
Kotaku’s approach to this story and way it’s selectively picked and presented it’s biased narrative has shown me something that for a long time I didn’t want to admit; Kotaku really is a Gawker site.
Worth pointing out that your Television must support Dolby Vision for this to actually be beneficial. Many HDR displays only support HDR10 or HLG currently, even on high-end displays such as those from SONY, though manufacturers have teased Dolby Vision support via future firmware updates.
or do they?
The people who were talking in-game were supposed to the average player right? So why did they give them subtitles?
well they’re owned by Disney, sure. So who are Activision and Blizzard owned by?
*puts hand up*
