As much as I’m interested in playing the campaign I’m just not going to go near this game on principle. Not worth it, have no interest in supporting EA’s practices, and there’s already too many other good games to play.
pretty sure the PC version is not free.
My office mate pines for Vanilla WoW and by the sounds of it would love to go back and play that version of the game.

Have faith! It’s happened before. A developer closes but some bright-eyed employee sees the potential in what they have and strive to gain access to either the IP or tech, and a great new game is (eventually) born!
some of their (Housemarque) games offered on PS+ have add-on content purchasable through the store. eg. Alienation had weapon packs and stuff people could buy. So being free means it builds a customer base and hype around a game that they might not be able to get elsewhere.
