And I misread your comment and see that's exactly the point you were trying to make. Silly me.

I'm pretty sure all OLED and AMOLED screens take far less power than other display types. Because each pixel is powered independently and only to the required brightness they generally take less energy. I have no sources, but I'm sure someone can straighten us both out.
I once woke up to FFX music in my bedroom. I had apparently come home drunk and wanted to play. When I got tired I guess I only turned the tv off but left the game and the stereo running. I was able to determine when I had gotten home by looking at my current play time that morning compared to the last save.
You aren't my younger brother are you? Because I'm getting married in 3 weeks. Wait, I have the Wii and he doesn't. Never mind.
Wait, PC Gamer says it's only for the Premium players right now. "The Close Quarters pack is available now for players who have bought Battlefield Premium, it’ll be out on June 26 for everyone else."
Okay, so I'm not the only one. Good.
That is a pretty fantastic gif. It represents the way I think about my income if I don't make a budget. UNLIMITED MONEY!!!
I have been a big fan of TERA so far. Saw enough previews to be sold on the concept and pre-ordered to get in on the closed beta.
I completely agree with your list. Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop and FLCL are my top 3 favorites.
Hah, I think we've all been there. We know we can't afford it and we aren't patient enough. The appeal of a shiny new game is just too strong!
Your name is very appropriate. Who Knew?! It's been out since the 11th? Man, double xp weekend and I'm moving so I won't have internet again until Monday. Thanks for the heads up.
Yep, not me and definitely not my decisions. Another huge immersion-breaker for movies is when the characters make a really stupid decision. I immediately can't relate to the character because I'm not an idiot. I want to see them making the smartest possible decisions but still have the killer/ghost/monster pursuing…
I came here to make the candy comparison. I see you beat me to it. Carry on.
I agree with dirtybacon, it's absolutely about immersion and the being the one who has to take action and make decisions. Movies don't do it for me because I know the main character is going to live until at least the last scene. Also previews ruin it for me. If I see a character in danger I remember seeing a shot in…
Apparently you didn't follow the instructions on the intro screen :) They tell you NOT to focus on winning the game but only on being immersed. I'm still playing through it. When I do get too freaked out I try to mentally separate myself by imagining the world is happy and bright and I'm simply trying to avoid getting…
I'm really interested in checking it out. Isn't it not releasing on PC until the 20th?
I played it for about 3 months. It was actually really fun but it was really hard to find groups for low level quests. The population may have just been a little low on my server. I liked the crafting and mining more than I do in Tera. The quests were typically interesting and it was fun to be submersed in LOTR lore.…
Good luck with that. I hate feeling dirty because I overslept and couldn't do all the "prep work" before heading out.
In some ways the low levels did feel a bit like Demon's Souls or Dark Souls in terms of combat. Neither you or the enemies die quite as quickly so it isn't as punishing, but you are responsible for dodging or blocking the enemy attacks to avoid damage. That back-and-forth fight mechanic starts to die out a bit as you…
Dang. I loved that game. I don't know that I ever got far but my brother and I played the crap out of it on the Commodore 64.
