I'm slowly pecking away at Amnesia. Small chunks at a time so my brain can handle it.

I Loved this scene! Ip man is a movie I recommend to any martial arts fan.

For positive results do you console them, shame them, or shun them?

I've found that with many classic movies. Watching them today many seem pretty forgettable. Most were amazing at the time, but seeing them now they are just another movie. Fans sometimes have expectations so high that even the original movie wouldn't hold up if they were able to forget it and see it again for the

I could see that being effective since the odd surface could change the angle enough to slow the tip from piercing through. Similar to the Mythbusters episode where they tried to bulletproof a car with phon ebooks. They found that bullets fired first through the window glass slowed down in the depth of just a few

Interesting. I suppose there would be different qualities of chain mail just as there are different qualities of plate armor. The riveted stuff would be pretty durable I imagine.

Maybe not the modern stuff. An arrow can travel very fast though and since the old mail was just bent loops for links, not welded, it would just pull the ring apart as it passed through. That's the way I remembered hearing it. Was it Mythbusters? I wish I could remember where I was learning about it.

Didn't chain mail fade out because it couldn't protect against arrows? I thought I remembered hearing that they would go right through. It was great at protecting against slicing but not nearly as well against stabbing or arrows. Either way, interesting design for a home.

I was just sitting here hoping the paid content is cool, because I'm going to give them my money one way or another.

Ahh, good plan. Isn't that frustrating living somewhere there isn't fast internet available? Made me go half crazy.

If your internet is too slow for that, wouldn't it be too slow for an online FPS anyway?

It's free to play, no one has to buy it. Yay, free!

I actually tried to climb out in the room where you first get the lantern. I got the note to myself from the room down the hall but I couldn't figure out where to go from there. I'm sure there's a door I just didn't see in a dark corner

I was just coming on here to talk about how I started playing it last night. I really enjoyed the first 20 min or so until I got stuck and couldn't figure out where to go next. So I did what anyone would do and built a box and chair tower to try and escape out a hole in the ceiling. The physics got messed up when I

This is one of my favorite episodes of anything ever.

You show 'em. I'm going to do the same thing on PC. In fact, I'll even wait until AFTER work to buy it.

Hmm, after looking it up I do remember having read about that a while back. A game wouldn't have to be generated to that extent to still be fun. It could easily use repeated set pieces procedurally placed in an environment. Just have each new round of a shooter be completely new.

What I would really like is a multiplayer FPS with procedural generated levels. The very first hours of any new release are the most fun because people haven't memorized all the levels yet. They don't know exactly where to camp out, which blind corners are best, etc. Just like a real war zone, you haven't had time to

I know, right? So unfortunate. It must be the same glands that affect playing outside and exercising.
