Me too. I used to check Jezebel and see like 4-5 stories I was super excited about reading and even more excited to read the lively debate in the comment section and now it's just meh. It's all click-bait, celebrity crap, and the political stuff isn't in depth or new but rather feels more like the US weekly politics

Seriously. And if this is the writing talent she thought should get her a job writing for Politico, she's as delusional as he is if he thinks anyone is buying his lame excuses as to why he's "chosen" to leave politics.

So the little respect I had for Jezebel is pretty much gone. No wonder a bunch of the writers left at the same time.

It's the natural order of things. Don't fight it.

I lied about watching 90210. Is my career over now?

Would whoever mused "I wonder what's up with Sydney Leathers" please promise to never do that again?

I was expecting more…… facts.

The description of this post as "fact-checking" needs to be fact-checked.

I wouldn't really call it writing well, honestly. It's technically capable, but it makes no sense. She constantly writes like she's satirizing something, but it's completely unclear what she's satirizing. And her personal essays make huge leaps of logic and seem entirely un-self-aware. I found her writing fucking

Also fun, Frank Rich (who is her boyfriend's father) tweeted out a link recommending her article...

She's a complete sociopath who is now using the Guardian (and earlier Thought Catalog) to try and reason her sociopathic behavior.

And honestly, using a pseudonym and creating a false online persona for yourself in reviews/advice giving/blogging, etc. isn't catfishing. At least no more than it wass catfishing when newspapers used make up a kindly but firm 60 year old spinster to hand out platitudes in advice columns.

Do you remember when Jezebel covered that stalker guy who wrote the long piece about stalking a woman? Well, HE got a bad review and he tracked the woman down and hit her over the head!

Completely. She must come from an air-tight circle of people that they think this kind if thing is 'okay'.

I'm really surprised anyone is sticking up for her. I'd be backing away slowly. Jeez, people are just f'ed up.

'Mulaney' received deservedly bad reviews so maybe he's feeling a special kinship with his friend at the moment. He should be focusing on his shit show (which just had its season order cut down) and not this shitshow.

I have a degree in creative writing (cue constant and wearying snickering about liberal arts and useless degrees and so on), and the most valuable thing it taught me was that when someone offers you critique, you shut your damn mouth and you listen. Maybe when you're done listening, you don't agree, and maybe you mope
