Retro badge for a retro powertrain. Z cars have had a 300-330 hp V6 for the past 30 years.

Don’t FCA put a 1.3T into the Renegade/500X? That must be up there with this awful combo.
You’d think it’d be a smaller Blazer, but that’s where the Equinox is. When it comes to naming, Trax and Equinox go together, as do the two Blazers. But now it’s Trax, Trailblazer, Equinox, Blazer. Just kinda weird.
I always have my sunroof tilted or open. Not being able to have one on a $40k+ car is an absolute dealbreaker.
Are they? Because they make one midsize manual sedan?
It’s €33,200 in Germany which is $37,300, which is right around the $38,850 it’d cost in Britain. Again, this is just a direct conversion not taking into account the 18-20% VAT in those countries.
They did J’s for a while; Elmiraj, Imaj, Converj.
Sure Audi and Volvo have their allroads and Cross Countrys respectively, but Mercedes is the olderst European luxury brand that exported wagons. Ever since the early ‘80s onwards they were classy and lacked cladding. That’s why this new All-Terrain isn’t sitting well. It just looks cheap, and MB is chasing Audi and…
Why is 0-60 the still the go to metric today? Every car seems to have launch control, some kind kind of electric boost, awd, or a combination of sorts.
If all he can afford is a FREE 25 year old minivan, then he can’t afford to be a parent.
It’d be one thing if it was a sexy Ipanema Brown from Audi, but this is hearing aid beige. And that color does nothing with the powder coated wheels. I’m also an “enthusiast” who likes things like sunroofs (which this is lacking), especially at this price point.
It’s one thing to have this as a joke car for yourself/RADWood posts, but to drive your infant child around in this thing everyday? It’s a tin can from the ‘90s, that was designed in the early ‘80s. It’d fold on any minor impact.
It’s still too garish. For $30k, I’d get a GTI. For $40k, I’d get a 230i. I get that not everyone works in the corporate world in a big city, but I just wouldn’t want to be seen driving around in something so over styled.
33 year old here.. the big wing cut off is 29. Sure the Type-R and less racy Golf R are quick day to day, but so is 230i. And I know where I’d put my money.
For me, you’d need to spend at least five figures for a nice 540i with a stick and low miles.
Considering how bluff and upright modern BMWs front ends are, the modern interpretation of the E30 grille looks pretty bang on. Just turn the lights into xenons/LEDs and utilize some angel eyes.
Is that how you look at house prices too? People set budgets for a reason. If you don’t wanna go over $90k-$100k, then you’re not looking at $135k new AMG GTs.
This will probably make the manual versions even more expensive in the second hand/collector market. I still prefer the 2016 3.8 GT4/Spyders more than these.
A million miles in stop and go city traffic? In only 12-13 years? Was the engine ever not running?
