Thank you, and I think - hope - you’re right. It’s just that, well, she’s everything to me. I’m not up to the task of caring for her, but I do care for her a great deal, and I hate both the pain she’ll go through if she’s taken from us, and the pain we’ll all go through in losing her.

Oh gods, that sounds awful. Finger wounds are the worst!
