They might switch to shredded lettuce and/or diced onion. I’d personally be fine with very finely shredded lettuce, but changing the onion would be a mistake in my opinion. The advantage that the Whopper always had over it’s rivals was that it was made with fresh vegetables that were cut on site.

He’s a jerk and there’s whole lot wrong with what he said, but he wasn’t referring to pregnant women as earthen vessels. He was referring to the fetus. This has been widely reported as “how dare he call women earthen vessels”, but that’s not what he was saying, and the persistent misquoting is not helping our side.

A small block of plain old cheddar cheese becomes something wonderful in a smoker. I cut mine in half, and plop it in 2 washed pot pie tins. It melts and takes on that shape. Visually pleasing when taken out, and sliced on a cheeseboard. It’s golden brown and is good warm or cold.

I actually managed to combine a couple of copycat recipes and get something pretty damn close a couple of years ago — but of course I didn’t write it down. If you read a lot of copycat recipes and filter out things that don’t match the McDonalds ingredient list, it helps a lot.

You’re not alone, and after years of “dupe” recipes, I promise there isn’t a single one that is close. I tried them ALL, many of which seem to be written by people that never, ever tasted Hot Mustard. I just stock up whenever I’m able to get it, and miss it the rest of the time.
