It’s interesting, as even as recently as the 19th century, pink was considered a manly color, while light blue was used for girls.
The switch happened sometimes in the 40s.

I’m really sorry to hear. Sending you some internet hugs, Santa Clause.
Neutral: How are you?
I was violently awoken at 4:30 this AM by my bed shaking like crazy.
Then another aftershock maybe 2 hours later. Eventually the birds will come back singing again.
Earthquakes are scary, still.
Just go to any car meet. The number of ‘blue lives matter’ stickers is all the tell one needs to confirm that.
At what cost?
I know it’s a really tough question to try to answer, and we will never be able to answer it in a way that doesn’t feel horrible.
But let’s look at Sweden:
Yes, the news coming out the past day or two can be promising. But as the only country in all of Scandinavia that decided to just ‘ignore’ the virus…
I’m aware that Miranda rights don’t need to be read immediately upon arrest, but an officer needs to identify themselves as an officer and show credentials (including number and name) to arrest someone legally.
I did not say anything about tagging. So please do not spread that misinformation. ;)
In the middle of ongoing protests about police brutality, they chose to use plainclothes officers and a grey van to arrest someone for vandalism, by dragging them forcefully off the street and into a vehicle. Smart choice there, Holmes. /s
That you see no issue with this, is troubling.
Our little pocket (East LA) is very exemplary in regards to mask wearing. But yes, I understand that that seems to be the exception, rather than the rule.
“We did not change the law of our forefathers or applied it any differently today from what we did in the past.”
Umm, what planet do you live on?

So, how many deaths are acceptable?
Regardless of outlooks on life, how many deaths are acceptable?
Eh, it’s Ferrari. Every boy dreams of racing for them.
Cannot blame him for it. They’re still the most successful team to compete in F1 ever.
I’d think so too. But he seems resigned (or too scared).
At what cost?
(Besides, “Law & Order” is a common fascist political trope, used to appear strong and justify violence and suspending constitutions and habeas corpus).
I’d wager that the coming flu season could see less impact due to social distancing and mask wearing..
That’s about the only shining light I see these days (outside of my immediate personal life).
“...if your workplace culture is responsible and reasonable protections are in place.”
That’s the gist.
This.
But Europe worked the same way during the pandemic. Each country decided for themselves how they’d deal with the pandemic.
Kinda like the US.
A big payoff with how many dead people?
How big does the payoff have to be to be ‘worth it’ 200'000 dead people in the US? 300'000?
These are the words of a very dark underside you’re speaking here. “Let it kill the weak, the meak.” Sounds like Sparta, the proto-fascist state.
Harm to body, harm to family and friends.
