My Wii U couldn’t though. I have my own separate room in the house for my gaming/hobbies. If I wanted to casually play Zelda while watching a movie with my wife, I would have had to transplant the entire system and hook it up in my living room across the house. That’s a hassle and likely would have resulted in my wife…
I really tried to finish Okami on the Wii about a decade ago. I got about 18 hours in when the game just kept glitching out and freezing at one of the boss fights and wouldn’t let me progress. After multiple attempts, I kinda just gave up.
Dude, as not a parent, I can still relate to this. I’ve had to spend a lot of time in the hospital lately and the Switch has been a godsend.
I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt with their picks because I’ve been really surprised by some players, after initially thinking their choice was bad.
What does my Pokemon [Arceus] look like?
Time to cash in those credits for Junkrat summer fun
I do primarily use mine in portable mode around the house. I can play Zelda while “watching” a movie I’m disinterested in with my wife. It creates a nice win-win situation. Occasionally, I’ll take it with me to work or while waiting in the hospital for family-related issues.
JockNerd,
It frustrates the shit out of me to no end. If I’m going to lose, then I want to lose to a better team while giving it my all; I don’t want to lose because some idiot switched to Hanzo to be a dick, or dropped out of the match completely.
That’s all I was running into last night. My friend and I usually run two healers, unless someone steps up to the plate before us.
Hey, maybe one day they’ll be the top ranking Doomfist player...
I’ve played maybe one match this competitive season where someone was Doomfist (thankfully not on my team). I noticed any time they attacked, they were really banking on it killing their target; and when it didn’t, they were left helpless and got taken out immediately.
Plus, I think having to wait a month for the present is super arbitrary. The PS4 was a Christmas present for my wife and I this year.We got home and she was like, “Should we wrap it and open it Christmas?” I told her that I was setting it up and if she felt so inclined to wait until Christmas, I’d be more than happy…
Yeah, that works too!
Polygon ran a similar article the other day regarding consoles for Christmas and giving them to kids a little earlier to offset the time spent on setup and updates.
Same. I’m hardcore into Pokemon, but I’m not rushing out to grab US/UM. I’ve got enough backlogged to keep me busy without having to shell out $40 for a game I played last year.
“Enjoy new internet features through our patented loot box system!”
I ended up getting a PS4 for my wife and I. Persona 5 for me and Crash Bandicoot for her.
Bought a PS4 over the weekend and this was the first game I bought. And my wife actually enjoys watching it because it’s basically an action/drama anime.
