And I bet if you got a handwritten letter from her, it would be perfection, presented in a 45 degree cursive slant! I swear it’s like the Wild West for written communication out here.

I disagree! The other reviews seem mostly positive, so I think this review might have more to do with this site having strong contrarian streak by its writers than anything else. Moreover, since it’s getting good reviews, I think Madeleine has done a good thing by asking if this is something we ought to be laughing

Neither is being gray. :)

omg i do this too. sometimes i use my caps lock and proper punctuation but so often i do not. and it’s thrilling. just thrilling to hit publish without once proofreading.

I endorse this practice.

Yeah, this is a hill I’ll die on each and every time, though Jezebel readers tend to snark hard on bad grammar and punctuation: looking down on someone for poor written or verbal communication is classist and ableist and unkind. Good communication skills are not a solid indicator of intelligence or worth. Come at me,

The holiday thing is key! A guess a crisis can’t be forced, but that’s a big bonus. For too many couples, the first crisis IS the wedding.

I do spend a great majority of my day giving advice to far-flung friends via Facebook Messenger...

I actually get emails filled with typos from 40-60 year old humanities professors pretty regularly. Email has its own rules.

The typo thing=children is unkind. You should not marry this man not because you may be young, based on your typos. You should not marry this man because after hooking up on-again, off-again, fooling around, whatever it was for three years, he can’t know after three months of monogamy if he’ll be satisfied and

haha omg she does look like a blonde nancy!

Hmm that’s interesting. Does that mean that they know for sure who it was/that it wasn’t another Forever21 employee? Otherwise, how could you make that argument? Whatever, I hope she wins either way.

I think they just expect you to marry into that kind of money, post-skating career. Agree, it’s total BS. You can make some money if you stick with the sport—training and such—but you can’t just jump into insurance!

Did not know that! What a dad!

I trust Madeleine’s perspective in general, and her perspective on this movie, and I’m disappointed in it via her description. If you read through this thread, you will see that I say that I will see this movie for myself. The movie theater near me isn’t even showing it until January, so I’m going to have to go by

The release date of this movie is December 8.

I have come to expect that my parents to vote for a republican, being of an older generation, less plugged in, less traveled than my siblings, and since they are firmly conservative. But even they didn’t vote for trump. Don’t get me wrong—my dad sat it out rather than vote for Hillary and we didn’t speak for several
