i can see you promoting Bernie to Gandalf based on your political beliefs etc etc fine fine but “good hearted” doesn’t make my Hillary adjective list. She just doesn’t seem like a Bilbo to me.

Now wracking brain. Doesn’t she work at a coffee shop or something? Coffee gossip? Catering? And then she gets close to Dan... So through him? Idk I am grasping at straws.

Eesh, yikes! Vanessa is so obvious... I'm kind of on board with changing that. But still. LOL@ Dan.

I would say the term “motherly” seems accurate in a Mater Patriae sense.

I always suspected Dorota.

SOMEONE HELP. Did Cecily von Ziegesar write Dan as GG and didn’t tell the show? Did the show make Dan GG although it conflicted with Cecily von Ziegesar’s vision? Does Cecily ever tell us in the books who GG is? Is it meant to be an eternal mystery? If so, why not ask Cecily to cameo in the show, playing herself, to

No no, it’s actually a very reasonable list (and I have a blanket scarf and I love it) but that original headline was amazing.

I LOLed @ “Under 100 Dollars” for a blanket scarf.

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antibowie shall come, even now are there many antibowies; whereby we know that it is the last time.

ARE YOU TELLING ME GG IS DAN?!?!

Seriously. I’m from that area and we even lost the key to our door when I was growing up, that’s how much we didn’t even think to lock it, but now that I know stuff about the world? No way.

If she already has one foot in the door in the publishing world, even if it’s not her area, it probably didn’t matter how specific the pitch was. Someone vouched for her, wheels were in motion, and everyone just plugged along until this inevitable trainwreck happened.

Every time I see someone take their ear buds out, I assume they’re checking to hear if their fart is audible.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........

This is deeply troubling. But since I generally don’t watch movies until they make it to Netflix, I usually don’t see a lot of the films nominated until way after the awards season, at which point all the momentum is gone. I get why they have to distribute in that way, but I also feel like that makes the conversation

You nailed it. I loved that project so much— nothing cohesive came of it and yet it's still one of my favorite research experiences. Especially good were the notes they passed one another, maybe during lectures. So sassy and/or zany.

Not sure if they're digitized but they were at Schlesinger Library. The project was so long ago I don't remember their names, but I found them in the OASIS database by using keywords like student notes, student memorabilia, etc.

Totally, it’s jarring to encounter that in action though— the quirks of their personalities are revealed in ways you wouldn’t necessarily expect.

Kate Middleton seems like sort of person who straightens her shoulders ever so slightly and informs you that she, uniquely, doesn’t like cats.
