Okay but it’s not a catch-all for “patient’s rights,” so you understand my misunderstanding I hope.

You were clear enough the first time. I understood that you disagreed with what I said. I also understood that you were a mansplaining dick who was mean to people he disagreed with for no reason. But thanks for doubling (tripling, even) down on that. Have a nice day.

I didn’t mention HIPAA as it wouldn’t apply to patients. But I imagine there is an agreement of confidentiality in group therapy settings.

Yeah I still think it’s a shame. If he were actually serious about his therapy it would suck to think that other patients are just in there blabbing patient secrets. What’s the stop them from telling what someone who isn’t a rapist says that is still of a personal nature? Also it would make it easy for tabloids to

Sure but you’d think even patients had agreed to some sort of confidentiality in their group settings. But I guess you always run the risk of blabbers.

Pediatricians keep saying this and it keeps getting ignored.

I’m at work on my computer.

Shouldn’t “sources at the outpatient clinic” be confined by some sort of patient confidentiality? I dislike Weinstein as much as the next guy but it’s concerning for me that these people are tattling the contents of group therapy to the nearest tabloid. This is a shame.

Thanks this is definitely my first visit to the AVClub and not my billionth in like 10 years so I appreciate the additional “brotip.” But yeah go ahead and play it off as sarcasm.

Bill Cosby was a beloved comedian who the entire country saw as a sweet father figure. Harvey Weinstein is just another asshole in charge. He had no goodwill to rely on.

But she didn’t understand his act and character, and she was rightfully upset that a stranger walked up to her and greeted her with racism. Even if she was familiar with his act and character, it would still be racist of him to do it because why wasn’t he walking up to white people and greeting them with “ching

Convenient for whom? Certainly not for his victims, who were victimized again and again.

Except how was his intent to mock the racist? How was singling out the lone Asian in the crowd to say “ching chong” to mocking racists? If he wanted to mock racists why didn’t he say “ching chong” to someone else? What he did was pick out an Asian person and made her feel different because of her race in a distinctly

Right.

Why should he do that?

Yes, that’s what I said. Thanks for quoting it though it was just today so I did remember already. And what I said is exactly what I meant. There is no difference between “seeming racist” and “being racist.” Your response didn’t address that. Your comment talked about being a racist person vs. doing something racist.

I did say that his intent doesn’t matter and I meant it. Whether someone intended to offend doesn’t matter when gauging the reasonableness of someone taking offense.

lol So you didn’t read my comment about all the things he intended to do. Got it.

Who is “we”? I don’t feel I am at all.

Has he apologized, though? Or has he attempted to gaslight Yi into thinking that she’s the one with the problem?
