@THEaquino: I'm not from Boston, but there is a certain aesthetic about it that's appealing. Maybe if I had to look at it every day I'd think differently..

@countachs2k: I drive by a porsche dealer every day on my way to work. They've had an arrest-me red 928 on their used lot for about 3 weeks now. One of these mornings i'll stop in and see how much they want for it. Its ever so tempting...

@balikian: I've played a game of cards with other passengers while sitting in a dead-stop on the NJ Turnpike (4 truck collision, medians destroyed, truck lanes closed.) My friend had the deck and since then I always keep one in the car.

I miss the old voting machines with the little levers you would flip to record your choices, and the big lever you would throw at the end to cast your vote and open the curtain. It had some authority to it...

Last summer at my beach house we took the old Schwinn's up to the liquor store and found the baskets on the back carried six packs quite nicely. 2 packs in the baskets, bring a bungee to get the 3rd on the luggage rack and you're rolling.

@Dougiefresh91: What's your color? I like yellows or greens, depending on what I'm playing... green for acoustic, yellow for electric.

@Bwehngamun: You should go pick up a pack of Tortex yellows or greens, and you'll see why people pay for picks.

@Straight6er: I just don't know if I can get over that smiling front end...

@Iggy: My friend who drives oil tankers for a living told me the same thing. The ships are actually built too tall to fit under the bridge, and rely on low tide and going full tilt so they get sucked down to make it out. Its apparently heartpounding for those involved.

I have the opposite experience from the Golf GTI... I was planning on buying a new Fiesta when I was ready to finally get rid of the Rover. My friend bought one and after taking a number of trips in it, I am now thinking of other options. The car itself is nice but there are some things- lack of a center armrest,

@HycoSpeed: KLAV KAHLASH! no bowl, stick. Stick!!

I hear they once built a railroad bridge out of Rearden metal. It used half the structural members but was twice as strong. Then Hank Rearden mysteriously disappeared...

A surprisingly entertaining way to waste time is to surf the "famous grave search" on findagrave.com. Ever wonder what Bob Hope's grave looks like?

@CMYKfellow: I would promote this twice if I could.

In trying to find some old Land Rover logos, I came across this epic epic chart.

@im10horses: Its also much much more difficult to get a license over there. It takes years and can cost thousands. They dont just give them out to any schmo who passes a written test.

I grew up in a '93 Roadmaster and eventually learned to drive in one. I still miss that car.

Not surprising. I've downloaded plenty of apps to my iphone but they've all slowly been removed in favor of more music and the absolute basics. I think the only additional apps I have at the moment are FB, imdb, a guitar tuner and Remote.
