I’ve been thinking to myself that some sort of Deadspin/Athletic partnership would be interesting ... although the tone here is thoroughly un-Athletic.

“Now everyone knows Bryce Harper signed with the Phillies. What this book pre-supposes is, maybe he didn’t?”

An interesting phenomenon in my profession (architecture) is that we both underpay AND exploit our young out-of-college professionals. You are routinely expected to put in far more than 40 hour weeks (my previous job had an unwritten 44-hour rule, most were doing 48-50 on a regular basis) and because we’re

I greatly enjoy how in our baseball-reference filled world, there is basically a stat that can be thrown at every player to show their improvment year-over-year.

I went to spray deodorant, degree or dove, and haven’t looked back. Specifically the black + white style that doesn’t mark up shirts. It also doesn’t leave my pits feeling greasy or chalky. Recommended!

Its time for Andrew to use that architecture degree! Come work for us!

My hunch is that a lot of that spending is in construction, these build-outs all over NYC (they’re the 2nd largest tenant in the city now I think) have to all cost on the order of 180-220/sf.

Good, stay out. We have enough people already.

Dang, that takes me back. I put that on our family computer years ago and we ended up having to wipe the entire machine. oops.

As a Fiat 500 owner since 2011, I can say definitively that blow outs are definitely a problem on cars with smaller wheels or small wheels and low-profile tires like I have (195/45 R16). The OEM Conti’s basically blow out when you hit a speed bump too hard.

I live on a busier street (12,000 cars a day according to DOT!) and when the windows are open in summer, I am always aghast how many people I hear drive by with that whumwhumwhumwhumwhum of an under-inflated or flat tire. How do they not notice??

Among my friends “I WILL CALL A PLUMBA RIGHT NOW” has become the go-to argument ender

Vapor lock!

One thing to make clear(er) here: the town name is North Bergen, it is in Hudson county, near West New York, Union City and Guttenberg. It’s not in Bergen county, and is not a wealthy school district.

Except that “available online” means that it’s 15 different websites with 15 different logins, and good luck telling me who the heck my 401k provider actually is now, or was at my last job, or how to log in to my health insurance to view my latest explanation of benefits.

E’s not pinin’, e’s passed on!
