Thrilled. I’m from Cook County and just watched her “concession” speech. It’s frightening how delusional she is about what she did as the State’s Attorney. She truly believes that she was fighting for justice. Nuts.

As a black Sanders supporter, I’m disappointed. I don’t believe that Hillary will help protect black people from institutional racism as much as Bernie would so I see this as a safety issue. It’s disappointing that Sanders couldn’t build off his momentum in Michigan more, but...

If this were a one time thing, I could accept her explanation/apology/whatever. However, Hillary has a pattern of talking about the past in whichever way her current audience wants it to be talked about. This is getting harder for her to do in an age where almost everything is recorded and shared so she now has to

Not to change the subject, but is there a Jezebel post on the Michigan upset? (I only saw the Gawker one.) If there is not, will there be one?

I caught that bit of Amy’s comment to and wondered if she was thinking of Jennifer when she said it. I do sort of think that Jennifer may be caught in the abuse herself. A while back, Jezebel posted excerpts of a profile on Jennifer for which she and David were interviewed and both of their comments about each other

I didn’t know that about O’Hara and Ford - thanks for sharing.

Yeah. I suppose he does give her the opportunity to do roles that other directors would not give her which is probably appealing to her. It’s still a little bit off putting though.

I understand that world which is why I said “she not only works with him, but also enthusiastically supports him”. The level she supports to is what I was obviously talking about as anyone who understands context clues would have been able to discern. Of course, roles are limited, even for successful actresses like

Jennifer Lawrence’s relationship with David O. Russell has increasingly made me side-eye her. He’s clearly an abusive nutcase so the fact that she not only works with him, but also enthusiastically supports him, makes me wonder about her character.

If Trump is elected, this is the kind of thing that will happen regularly around the country. Police will feel empowered to get away with murder and regular citizens will feel empowered to get away with abuse as well.

That’s was an interesting conversation to read from insiders’ perspectives. I’m glad that big stars are starting to speak about institutional racism publicly now.

I don’t think she’ll do all of that right way if she gets in since he would have to think about re-election. For that reason, I think that she would continue to pander during her first term and blame her lack of progress on Republicans. If she’s gets a second term, then that’s when I think she would go full on

More like it’s not my first election and I’m tired of elections working like this.

Who said Bernie’s visit with Sharpton wasn’t transparent?

“As I said in Harlem the other day...”, LOL. She’s so transparent. The minute white privilege ceases to be a hot button issue is the minute she’ll deny it exists because of an “evolution”. She’s saying what she thinks she needs to say to get elected and people are going to eat it up.

There’s a difference between having a big ego and experiencing a break with reality. In the past, Kanye seemed closer to the former. Now, he seems closer to the latter.

It’s pretty obvious to me that he’s unwell and that he needs help. It’s also sickening to me that I’ve seen people be so dismissive of what is obviously a breakdown of some sort. If he hurts himself or otherwise ends up in a more serious situation, though, those people will be the 1st ones offering bullshit platitudes.

Yep. When she started acting like an asshole after she starting dating that guy, I knew it was going to end in disaster and that it would be super embarrassing for her. When people are arrogant about their relationships, their relationships usually end in disaster.

Yeah, the relationship between Lala and James is annoying. I don’t, however, mind them separately. I would like to see them develop plot lines away from each other. I also would like more of Stassi - watching her grovel after she was so arrogant when she thought she was escaping the Vanderpump Rules universe is lovely.

I like the apology tour and I think it’s probably just as “fun” as the rest of show. After all, the show is ultimately about a bunch of late 20/30 somethings with sad lives, mental health/addiction issues and other problems. I don’t see how the apology tour changes that.
