Marlin Perkins ftw!

...you know a discomforting amount about chaining people up.

It looks like it may be a nod to (or even recreation of) this issue.

Why does it matter how much he’s paid? These things have a budget over 200 million dollars and they bank five times that or more. I don’t think money’s a problem for Marvel Studios. If anything, they should be paying the crew even more.

I think he’s already said he’s going to be in Spider-Man.

I mean, someone has to get the “see if I’m bluffing about blowing up your head” treatment, just to establish her credibility.

Fox owns Doom though.

There is only Doom.

I’m guessing no.

No way he stays dead forever, agreed. But there’s a lot of potential if he stays dead for the next cycle, especially if they explore how Sam and/or Bucky would “wear the mantle” (Bucky being the more obvious candidate, given that he’s already at that level of ability, not to mention being a genuine WWII hero already).

To be fair, I would also have enjoyed Age of Ultron if it had been about Wolverine and Sue Storm travelling through time, killing Hank Pym and causing a war between Morgan le Fey and Tony Stark.

Right, I think it could be a fake-out (especially if he’s a wanted international criminal ...) or it could even be filmed to just fuck with people.

The ties to the comics are the problem for me (though, as lots of people pointed out in a comment last week, he doesn’t actually die in Civil War.)

That... does not sound like a fun time at the movies.

yea, i thought Chris Evens was already signed on for the Infinty War movies.

Yeah, the fact that Latino Review is running with this rumor automatically makes me take it with a Hulk sized grain of salt.

The problem here is that he’s only MOSTLY dead. There’s a difference between mostly dead and all dead.

1. I’m calling BS on the Captain America death. It just reminds me of all the rumors about how Banner was going to end Age of Ultron on another planet.

So be it. I still feel your initial observations on the matter were reductive and, to any readers who do not know the material very well, ripe for the interpretation that the atomic bombs were eventual necessities due to Japanese actions and mindset.

You are conflating military operations during a state of war and post-surrender/-bombing response by cut-off troops with political leadership debating surrender. That’s not how these things work.
