This has always been so. There is never a shortage of low-functioning brutal mouth-breathers who say “no big deal” about the most reprehensible behavior.

Nice! I think it’s the only time in my life I’ve seen “Nicholas Cage: Regular Guy”, and actually, he wears it quite well.

It ain’t disco. EWF is a genre unto themselves :D

Now playing

Damn. Thank the gods you posted the original version. EWF always makes me “happy-cry”.

100 points.

Today was to be my last hopeful check-in at the community, just to see if I was right about the permanent degradation of the the whole affair. Which actually would have seemed entirely obvious by my comment.

You seem fun. Actually, I just logged in to say: people and “vibes” like you are why I finally quit io9 last week.

Oh, yes. And I read it when it was fairly new. It probably really helped me to enter the digital age, since I’ve always had slight Ludite tendencies... Although, when I gave my son (who was precocious and already a big Crichton fan in elementary school) a copy of “Travels” when he was maybe too young to dig it, he

Sure there was a reason. The people writing his colossal paycheck were totally cool with it.

I saw this so many times as a kid. IMO, it’s actually better to watch it as a 21st century adult. All the gee-whiz is replaced by “wow, Crichton really nailed it”.

^This, 100% this.^

Oh, well said.

Civilization? Maybe you mean “culture” or “bloodlines” or something, Captain Clickbait. Super-cool links, though.

That’s actually a really good point. (I hadn’t looked at it that way before, because, well, Gotham.)

Same here. Sure, I’ve moved on from Brooke Shields, but I read his comment and looked down at my rickety chair and immediately put that piece of duct tape back over my computer camera...

Wow! This is awesome. Thanks, Cheryl, yet another excellent find!

Yep! And she really sold that Eastwick performance. I figure if I ever see her in an airport or restaurant or something, I’ll be overcome with the urge to say “Awww, you okay? Want a hug?”.

YIKES. With all the horrors and neurosis on her CV, I’ll bet that actress is actually a joy in person. Or really, really damaged...

Yep! Williams did the TV show back when he was still a young jazz hipster. The Silvestri score only briefly touches on it, though. It’s not a masterpiece like say, his Back to the Future, Abyss, or Tomb Raider Circle of Life scores, but I’d put it just under things like Captain America and The Wild.
