I think he's scarier in some ways; McCarthy's downfall was that he was so thoroughly unlikeable he lost his ideological compatriots. Everything Cruz says is tailored to appeal to those people even if it alienates or confuses everyone else.

I've always thought the media routine in the locker-room was weird. I'm sorry but there is no way giving a player 5 to 10 minutes to dress is going to cause the entire sports media industry to collapse.

If everyone's deadlines are moved back, it's still a level playing field.

Honest question — why is this even a thing? Why can't the players just get 10 more minutes to get dressed before the media comes into the locker room? Are they really that pressed to make deadline in this day and age? I doubt it.
