I can’t deny my nostalgic love for this film, but I absolutely do think it has a lot of good stuff to recommend it. Warwick Davis is remarkable. The landscapes are beautiful. The storyline and humour are wonderful. The musical score is one of the best James Horner ever did. However, the other characters are hit and

Yes it’s good, but I saw it in theaters when I was 7 and I’ve loved it ever since. So I’m pretty biased. Older Willow as a snarky and seasoned wise wizard still arguing with Madmartigan is something I’ve waited my whole life for.

I loved it as a kid but it’s not that great. I think it could be a really good TV show, though. Plenty in that world to explore.

I like Willow just fine, but then I’m a diehard lover of Lucasfilm in general. YMMV.

Was Willow good?

Why yes it was.

I loved Willow as a kid. Loved it. Maybe the first sword and sorcery fantasy movie I watched along with Excalibur and Conan the Barbarian. I watched it again after many years as an older teen and it didn’t hold up that well. Though the main bits with Willow, Madmartigan and Sorsha are fine. The Brownies were terrible.

For being the plot of Star Wars with LOTRs characters swapped in... it was alright.

Willow is a fun watch just for the interactions between Warwick and Kilmer. The humor is more aimed at kids though.

Watch Krull instead.

It’s on Disney+. I watched it before my subscription lapsed after Mando ended. It was... not that great. I remember enjoying it as a young lad, and I can definitely image today’s kids enjoying it. But as an adult with a (slightly) more sophisticated perspective, it was mildly charming but cliched, and the ending had

Watched it around Christmas and thought it was still pretty entertaining.

I don’t know, but Warwick Davis was quite good in a tricky part in the Doctor Who episode “Nightmare in Silver” (written by Neil Gaiman), one of the best Cyberman stories

It’s rare I say this about remakes, especially remakes of films that kinda nailed it the first time out, but I’d be genuinely excited to see Little Shop with Taron and Scarlett in the lead roles. The music would seem to suit them both and there’s absolutely no question on their acting abilities! The secondary

HIV actually runs under the assumption that ~70-90% of partners will become infected in a single contact. The R0 in Africa is around 4.6, lower in North America and Europe, and fluctuates over time, and by region. The method for calculating the R0 for HIV does push ethics boundaries, and is always an estimate as most

There were 104 open federal bench seats because of Mitch, and they are being filled by Mitch. McConnell is reshaping the judiciary, the Senate, and is more the architect for the decline of America than any single other person.

Welcome to the world of cognitive dissonance. It’s a land populated by many.

This rationale is enough for me to want the Nats to end their misery. If they did win, I think the acute anxiety suffered by team and fans every time the bullpen door opened would balance out past misdeeds.
