I wonder which episodes/seasons you watched, because I started with season 1 and couldn’t stand it. Then Mark Brendanawicz (just googled that for the spelling, would not have guessed in a million years) left and it got SO MUCH BETTER. I think he sucked the air out of it- he was just such an unpleasant character.

The more he described his actions, the more pissed off I got that he never used the terms “rape” or “assault” and constantly referred to “that” incident instead. He knows that he became “one of those people” but still won’t name what he did, like he’s trying to maintain distance from it.

Passing along this story about my buddy, I’ll call him Jim, who served in the Army and was in the middle east in early 2000s.
