Street courses pretty much are the worst to spectate if you care about races. Long Beach is the same — you can’t see a damn thing if you don’t have grandstand seats high up. Austin, on the other hand, had great sightlines for GA tickets. I went to the GP in Austin in 2013 and even though I had a grandstand seat at

Why oh why won’t they release this or the Alphard/Vellfire in the US? Think of all the rich elderly people who need to be driven around by their middle manager children to doctors appointments!

I am pretty sure the owner of the car that was taken left their bluetooth key or phone in the car. My wife used to do this all the time until I warned her that the car doesn’t lock and anyone can drive it away if she does this.

I bet the person whose car was taken left their phone with bluetooth active or their $175 key somewhere in the car. Anyone could have taken that car.

I’ve driven EVs for 8 years and I totally sympathize with this article. It’s a pain to have to worry whether about routing, stops, charger availability... In the last two years, I’ve driven my e-tron on 4 500+ mile road trips, and none has been without worry. Sure, it’s not often, but until you can just get in and

As a EV owner is So-Cal, I believe Gear 1 100%.  In So-Cal, half of the CCS fast chargers I use just don’t work, and most of them belong to Electrify America.

I’ve had the Volvo XC90 T8 and now drive an Audi e-tron.  While we miss the 3rd row for carpooling, the e-tron is a pretty decent step up in luxury, while not blowing the bank on a BMW iX. If you can home charge, it’s the way to go. Not sure about cross country though, as the range is limited around 190 real world

I’d love to go to Montreal... I’ll add Austin in 2013 was a great poor-man’s race... I based myself in San Antonio, and bought a grandstand seat for maybe $200 on stub hub (which I ended up never using after the start) and spent the whole day walking around the track and enjoying the atmosphere, taking photos and

Hmm.. I had a 2005 Infiniti G35 and I wonder if that 6-speed was the same one as the one in your Z... It was embarrassing driving that car with passengers because it made me look like a 6MT screwup...

I was so annoyed with my 2014 Tesla that I traded it in for a BMW 340i in it’s second year.  Now I’m in an Audi e-tron, and though the range is less than Tesla, it’s more than enough for me, and on the comfort side of things, way better than the Tesla (or the BMW 3 series for that matter).

The most annoying thing is that almost every valet that takes my car will set the headlights to “ON” or “OFF” and never “AUTO”. Then I’m the asshole for not realizing it until it’s dark.

Absolutely online! Cut out the dealer sales (dealers make most of their money on service anyways) and cut the bargaining crap and price a car like any other consumer product with a firm fair price, and realistic credit terms. Honestly, when I leased a BMW 10 years ago I can’t believe how inflated BMW residuals were

And honestly, if I need to drive a road trip EA chargers are spread out perfect for potty breaks for me.  Or if I’m not going where EA are, I don’t mind renting.  It’s worth it to me to have less emissions in my community.

Actual Southern California Audi e-tron owner — I need about 120 miles max per day, and typically drive 40 miles each day.

I’m really surprised to see the Audi so low... I’ve had a 2014 Model S and now have the e-tron and I’m way more impressed with the e-tron’s build quality and features. I get it’s not as efficient, and it’s heavier than a HD pickup, but for creature comforts, it’s way beyond the Tesla.

2006+ 987 and 997 have a more robust system that fails much less often, but is also prohibitively expensive to address.

HPFP. That is all.

Do you actually get a new car? Or do you just get another rental car in the program?

Your review is everything I complain about with BMWs over the last 15 years.
