Have the White Sox of the past few years set some kind of record for serious rookie injuries? Sure seems like it.

If Kelly supposedly laid down some ground rules re: Trump’s behavior, as a condition for becoming chief of staff, he’s about to be gravely disappointed.
The Trump And/or Pence Administration has inadvertently weaponized irony, and discovered that its effects include raised eyebrows, soft chuckles and shoulder shrugs. Back to the drawing board, boy-o’s!
“Mr. President, we’ve determined that Secretary of State Tillerson stopped showing up for work sometime in late July.”
It’s possible that Tillerson is already gone and no one has noticed it yet.
“Why do you keep fucking up all the time?”
Urine good company with that remark.
Upset that he didn’t take them with him?
Yes, he was popular. That says nothing about his quality as a president. He was popular based on his wartime success and did little of note as president, other than making disastrous cabinet appointments.
Actually, it sounds like Dems are trying to do the exact same thing the GOP did, especially the “move hard right” step that you mentioned. Problem is, there’s no way that will achieve the next step, “energize the base.” Their failure to see the disconnect between those two steps might be our nation’s undoing.
And why did Jarome Iginla never become a megastar? Seems like he was a guy who could’ve had widespread appeal.
It’ll get bad reviews. “Too unrealistic.” “Unsympathetic characters.” “No one is THAT orange.”
There’s also a “straw that broke the camel’s back effect” that’s not taken into account. I stopped watching the NFL obsessively when the Giants got bad, but that wasn’t really the reason. I previously had tolerated the terrible announcers and long commercial breaks and inane halftime shows only because the Giants were…
“As Press Secretary for Deep Belly Button, I can state with absolute certainty that he has never admitted to being wrong.”
So you’re in favor of domestic violence?
You’re totally right. The NFL is catering to the obsessives and the gamblers who want there to always be a game on, and in the process throwing out a lot of what made it special. NFL Sunday used to be an Event. They’re turning themselves into a niche sport.
Frankly, the NFL has become boring in recent years, but it’s “Unamerican” not to be an NFL fan. Kaep gave the racists some cover to stop wasting their Sundays.
The Titanic had a great initial quality ranking. The resale value ... not so good ...
I was speaking more specifically about Grant’s failures as a career soldier and businessman before the Civil War, but his presidency was at best inconsequential. He’s the only 19th-century president who has a Wikipedia page devoted to the scandals during his administration:
I’m pretty sure Charlie Frye is an NBA player and Connor Shaw is in the NHL. I mean, I haven’t actually checked, but that sure sounds right.
