The black bar at the bottom is really a design fail though, in a major way. I get why it's there, but that's a problem that should have been solved and really makes it look cheap. I think the circular screen, while aesthetically appealing, has real limits in presenting information in a way that we actually view it.

It seems like you're not an Apple fan, perhaps don't buy an iPhone then. There will always be things one brand can do that another can do, and vice versa. Apple's had limited widgets (apple-branded) since iOS 6. Now they're more robust and have 3rd party options. As for competition, I prefer things that are more

Yes, it does. iOS 8 will have Apple and 3rd party "widgets" in notification center. It comes out in two weeks.

Looking for strict realism when someone's making a joke sort of defeats the purpose...it is, after all, a comedy, which is often heightened reality. That's like saying, "why does Woody Allen stop and address the camera during Annie Hall? In real life there'd be no camera there!"

I don't know, it seemed to work out alright for the iPhone, which also had a preview and then launched later.

Yeah, you're trying too hard, dude.

I would say, for the most part, it's not a matter of forgiveness, more like tolerating a man whose talent dried up long ago (in a galaxy...uh). The part where forgiveness comes in his is god-damned attitude about what he did to the original trilogy, and towards his fans in general. There are interview clips where he

It has a gross almost anatomical drawing feel to it. Most unsettling...

This is all well and good until one of those veins tries to kill you, like mine did last year. Now I'm resting comfortably with some extra titanium screws in my skull, and stories to tell.

I see you linked to "flat design" in google images. Yes, there is of course a common language for flat design, but Xiamoni is speaking the same exact dialect as Apple. They use the same exact color schemes, the same layouts for their apps, the same design cues. Their goal is clearly to be the "cheap" Apple...not to

Man, Apple didn't invent fruit how dare they try to patent their logo!

Please provide proof that the SPECIFIC designs, both in software and hardware, were being used by Xiamoni before Apple released their products. So, show us the Xiamoni calendar app, the camera, the compass, the home screen, the hardware design of their phones and tablets, smartcovers, etc, that predate Apple...

"I'm sorry you saw half a completed film and fell in love with it."

I think bad sequels, particularly by the same director as the originals, highlight the weaknesses in that filmmaker's ability. It's hard to watch LOTR after seeing the Hobbits and not see all the tired cliches and tropes Peter Jackson now falls back on all the time. Bad movies reverberate through time!

Even safely nuzzled in the cushion of no expectations, this movie was pretty terrible.

Yeah, but can these people actually sing? Because... Les Mis adaptation.

Not this time tricksy Hobbit, you won't be getting my money.

Nope.

Disregarding this movie for a second: the theory is not that JUST human life was seeded from something out in space (bacteria catching a ride on an asteroid, etc), but that ALL life was seeded from space and then evolved once it was in this environment. Chimps are from space too! (Now THAT'S a t-shirt right there)

Couldn't disagree more. It's nice to see, in this ever-franchising world, an author maintain strict control of their work and to truly...author it. Of course the HP world is a franchise, but, at its core, it's still the work of one writer. Handing it over to others would certainly expand it, but it could devalue it as
