I think the comparison is the iPhone/App Store vs. Nintendo DS/PS Vita. A multi-functional device was introduced that ALSO played a variety of games and attracted thousands of developers. It began to chip-away at casual and hardcore gamers alike, offering a different but appealing alternative. Apple could add gaming

Jeepers, what a horrible thing to say. Also, it reveals a stunning lack of knowledge about what he contributed to the tech world, many of those contributions you're enjoying at this very moment...

Interesting. I thought Season 2 was a stronger season as far as pacing and engagement in general. It had a nice flow to it, PLUS the Battle of Blackwater. Season 3 was still really high quality, just felt like it was lacking something and didn't push the characters forward enough. I understand why they split the book

Hmm. My thought on Windows Phone is they stripped out ALL visual metaphor making it too flat and indistinct for most people. It's great looking, but I think that extreme flatness and lack of graphical elements makes it difficult from a usability standpoint.

Love Futurama, but yes, it's time for it to end. I think they've run out of steam...

Haha. Ok, sir. Just calmly sharing my opinion. I'm a designer and app developer and have strong opinions I guess, and am also using the beta so know first hand what it is. Take care! :)

I'm not sure what apps were NOT redesigned so I don't know what you mean. Did they abandon rectangular buttons for pony-shaped 3D animations, no. Redesign for its own sake or, frankly, for the sake of nothing, serves no purpose. Incrememtal evolution IS design. It has to be useful to be innovative. I'm curious what

I think the problem here for Microsoft will be a marketing one. Even if the Xbox One is an amazing media device, to the general public it's a hardcore gaming machine and to gamers it's now not enough of a gaming machine. Think of non-gaming demographics, my parents would easily buy a Roku or Apple TV but I can't see

Haha. Last I checked that was not the major reveal of iOS 7, right? That was your only take away from the update, not the fact that they scrapped and redesigned the entire operating system? But yes, you're right, the 3D thing is just some fun. Can't we have fun anymore? :)

Apple is about incremental USEFUL innovation that slowly evolves their products, keeping everything consistent and well-thought out. It's easy to vaguely cry out for innovation every second but I'm not sure what that amounts too. Case a point, the innovations-for-their-own-sake coming out of Samsung. Swipe your hand

All the info's out there if you want to take a look. There are many improvements and additions beyond appearance.

Actually, I believe Alan Moore has proudly never seen the film. That said, yeah, I'm sure he'd hate it.

Hmm. Same with iTunes. It's been that way for two years or so. You never need to connect to your computer. Everything syncs wirelessly.

I think Apple always does things incrementally and with focus. Touch was the obviously and impressive selling point when the iPhone (and then iPad) came out. They tend to train the public on how they want a device to be interacted with and don't want to confuse or dilute the message. I'm sure, going forward, we'll see

It's a tough one, but I've decided, on moral grounds and as a gay man, I can't support anything he's associated with. I'll be FORCING myself to skip it. It will be on cable someday anyway.

Jaws (the film) is FAR superior to the book. The Godfather runs a close second.

A bitter truth, but you're probably correct. Bah-weep-Gragnah weep mini bong. Weep, indeed...

Hmm, just don't know why it plays so horribly for you. I agree that they need to streamline their interface.

Yup, pretty embarrassing. I always thought Iman should have been Storm. Would have been perfect, I tell you, PERFECT!

Me too. I got angry when the cameraman kicked a piece out of the way nonchalantly towards the end. No respect!
