“The answer is to make mediocre films that have weak narrative arcs and no character development and to claim your choices are bold even if they’re not good.” (Dusts off hands, walks away)

Some of those “turgid” historical films are his best work and show what happens when we mature, not simply get old.

Hmm. No extra steps I can think of. Maps rerouting is automatic and you can choose the new route if you want, boarding passes/tickets get generated into the Apple wallet app, and Siri can read out texts, of course. And if you have a CarPlay compatible car it puts a voice-focused version of iOS on your car display

iOS has done all the things you mentioned for a while. Just being informative, not coming at you. :) I’m a developer so I’m always neck deep in assessing features on both platforms. But yes, there are differences.

I’d recommend checking out San Junipero and Hang the DJ to see how great it can be when it’s not being dystopian.

Man, people are really bending over backwards trying to convince themselves this was a good movie.

Making a bold move doesn’t mean it was a good move. I won’t be signing any petitions over it but TLJ was incredibly flawed. I think there was a way to thread the needle of surprising fans but still having it feel like Star Wars, giving us something new while honoring the characters. The main problem for me is that the

I think you should let the series play out before making that judgement. Lorca is intentionally shady and I wouldn’t be surprised if Micheal has to lead a mutiny again against him to recapture Starfleet’s soul.

That was painful.

Ugh. Hate that book and hate that it’s canon. Not the best sign for Star Wars...

Jamie, of course. The Queenslayer. It is written.

Hmm. Ehrenreich has been great in other things, particularly Hail, Caesar. This seems like one of those things that leaks out that doesn’t mean what we think it means... I hope.

I don’t know if the viewer should want all those questions answered. For me, a lot of the appeal is the dread that comes from the vagueness. It’s in the cautionary tale zone, just non-specific enough to feel fully believable.

It still hurts, guys. One of the best scifi shows in history tanked by the last quarter of its story. IT STILL HURTS.

Don’t. I did and I regret it. 😕

Wading in here with my orca-splaining... There is no known record of an orca attacking a human in the wild. So...be respectful but not afraid.

Shawshank Redemption bombed when it came out. Why’d they even bother making that??

Luke had sex with his sister??

It’s a really fun movie, but man, it could have used a lot more character development. No one seems overly fleshed out, certainly not Jyn.

Uh, guys, that’s not why Michael’s facing the wall.
