Canning sterilizes the food, this is true for all canned food. You can’t let it sit on a unrefrigerated shelf if you don’t sterilize it. The “best by” date on canned food is just a suggestion, some foods will last indefinitely when stored well.

If you live in SF you should leave. That’s the only way to fix this.

A Fiat in Jeep’s clothing.

Stellantis trimming the fat.

Establish cocoa plantations outside of Ghana and Ivory Coast. They control a vast portion of the market, and forced cocoa buyers to agree to a floor price back in 2019, raising prices for everyone else. Even if they return to normal output levels we’re still overpaying compared to what we used to.

Supply chain isn’t

Musk apparently purchased a game named for a crime, then committed multiple other crimes in it before meeting his breaking point: Being asked to kill virtual cops.

Lab-grown meat is not a sufficient replacement for how we consume meat. Everyone is focused on 3D printing steaks, but what about the organ meats? How do we replace the vital nutrients we get from sausage casings, liver, tendons, collagen, gristle, hooves, etc?

Why should *I* have to prove what I say is true, when I can just blame you for not believing me?

Amen to that. I’m sick of the insistence that corporations have got it all figured out, and you don’t need to think about what you eat. It’s not some right-wing conspiracy to suggest that food regulators are not working toward your best interests.

how about you let me know what “it dues to your system when someone consumes it as their only source of protien” or what their “unexplained side effects” are

The anti-lab grown meat sentiment comes from people not trusting other lab-created foods such as those you typically see at McDonald’s, KFC, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, and so many other fast casual joints.

What happens to all the farmers if lab-grown meat takes off? Does all their land suddenly become worthless? What do they do with all the livestock?

Is lab-grown meat vegan? No animals are harmed in the making of the meat.

If you knew anything about business interests and mass production you’d have good reason to be skeptical of lab-grown meat.

We’ve got to stop buying into the bullshit when these billionaires throw the equivalent of pocket change at the masses in an attempt to dupe us into thinking they’re selfless and good.

You know what? I don’t blame them.

Just tell everyone to work from home if they can. Los Angeles had zero traffic problems when COVID lockdowns were in effect.

Perhaps the thieves could set up a repair and detail shop, since the whole “thieving” part seems to be what’s not working for them.

Microsoft, Amazon, Nintendo, Boeing.

I have warned Jalopnik multiple times about promoting the Bolt, but you guys kept your fingers in your ears and told people it was a screaming hot deal. I told you the batteries were a serious issue and no recall short of replacing all the batteries would have resolved that. GM never replaced all the batteries so

It’s a red-blue state issue because blue states enjoy plentiful charging stations meanwhile red states get the shaft. And red state vehicle owners drive longer distances and have high payload/towing needs, which are difficult to satisfy unless you have a shitton of charging stations like you see in cities.

1st gear: So why isn’t this outlet more praising of Elmo as of late? I’m so confused because Tesla seems to be the only company really pushing for the transition to EVs, while everyone else is just doing the bare minimum for compliance.
