Well, we don’t know that. Want to be the test subject?

I know you guys love to rag on Tesla but I gotta say their self-driving system has at least one thing going for it; IT’S OPTIONAL.
You can complain about the looks all you want. That doesn’t mean it was going to crush the child’s head if they hadn’t moved.
The door didn’t close with the child’s head locked in it. Nobody was hurt. You guys are really stretching with this one.
America is VAST. There are many areas where there is no traffic for most of the day.
This faux cheese sauce doesn’t taste like cheese. Where’s the cheese? I demand a refund!
I don’t know why people like trucks so much. Nobody needs that much utility, do they?
* Doesn’t interview a truck owner *
Man, what a mystery! Truck sales just never stop but I can’t seem to find a reason to buy one!
* Doesn’t interview a truck owner *
Seriously, why are you guys buying trucks?! Why won’t anybody tell me?
*…
V8 sedan under 5 grand? The answer is always Lexus LS400. Sorry that it’s not American, but is that really that big of a problem?
Higher ground clearance allows you to mount larger tires and decrease your approach angle. All major off-road packages for trucks and SUVs raise the suspension or remove bumper material to make way for the option to mount larger tires.
Elon sucks and FYI Jalopnik staff have always felt this way. We swear we’re not just piling on the hate recently to fulfill an agenda. Don’t question it or else you’ll get grayed. We’re the journalists, so we’re asking the questions.
Donuts are a hazard and manufacturers are cheaping out, sacrificing your safety to save a few bucks. I will always buy vehicles with a full size spare, this is a hill I will die on. Fight me.
Why the fuck is safety not a primary concern over cost and weight? You realize once the donut is installed on the vehicle that the driver gets absolutely zero reminders from the dash? What stops them from just forgetting and plowing down the highway like normal? Absolutely nothing prevents that, you have to seriously h…
Meanwhile on NP/ND you see well-maintained 1st-gen Integras going for under $7,000.
Does Jalopnik think we all live together in the same city?
Rental car companies have to deal with ridiculous amounts of liability, I don’t blame them for charging as much as they do.
I know you guys love unions but at this point you can’t be both pro union and pro EV. If they win then it’s bad news for EVs. They’re actively trying to kill the transition with this strike.
There’s more to it than just that. Car companies have a perpetual problem to solve; all of their current workforce will age out and retire at some point. Schools need to keep churning out more car enthusiasts somehow, but the car makers don’t run the education system.
I grew up with Lamborghinis and Ferraris in my Hot Wheels sets. Were those equally pointless? Of course not.
Maybe they underestimated how difficult owning an electric car without home charging can be.
So with the
ChineseUS government plowing millions into an industry serving a shrinking sector, can it expect to see a return on its investment?
