Dirty their home’s land and water and then tell them to move to the cities where the land and water will be clean because everyone drives an EV and lives in a HOA.
That’s driving on a plowed track surface, not “in the snow”. You could do this in a 2WD vehicle without losing control.
The name makes no sense. Where is the turbocharger in an EV?
I’d just like to remind you that you can literally suffocate yourself with exhaust fumes if you stay in a closed garage with a running ICE car. Sure the effect is minimal to none when you’re outside running the engine in open air, but it does get noticeably worse in dense urban areas with lots of traffic and idling.
Bicycles aren’t a replacement for cars. You can’t ride a bicycle through mud, snow, or heavy rainfall. In many places a bicycle is a seasonal mode of transportation, which is why Tour de France takes place during summer.
Why does Jalopnik never interview rural truck and SUV owners to get their side of the story? Are you guys afraid of being proven wrong, or just afraid of talking to Republicans?
Many people moved during the pandemic lockdowns, and so when employers started forcing them to return to the office they get stuck with longer commutes. The in-city real estate is crumbling due to high vacancies, but those that still commute in for work are now coming from towns further away.
Don’t use eco mode? It’s not rocket science, Kevin.
WTF, you guys advertise and write about cars for a living. Look in the mirror.
You can run your home internet on 5G, it’s plenty fast for streaming video and gaming. I’ve seen speeds range between 100Mbit to 1Gbit, and latency from 10ms to 80ms depending on signal strength.
That doesn’t sound like vehicles simply losing connection, it sounds more like buggy software. There’s great signal strength all over the bay area, part of why it was chosen for these tests. There are plenty of wide open, rural roads where the cars could have the freedom of not impeding or harming anyone if they go…
Or just give us back the tactile buttons?
I think most consumers really don’t give a crap about boring interiors and unintuitive controls. Just look at the history of all of the best selling models for the past 30 years, it’s usually uninspired economy cars like the Corollas and Civics.
Just, don’t actually go out and try it — we can’t get your clicks if you’re in jail.
Lol.
This may be news to you, but some people can’t eat potatoes, it gives them an upset stomach. The common Russet was bred from South American tubers, and isn’t found in a lot of cuisines outside of western Europe and the Americas. Other cultures tended to use sweet potato varieties instead, as those are more common and…
An off-road ForTwo? That makes no sense.
And this is why insurance rates go up regardless of who you are and what you drive. Everyone that buys a new car and signs up for the same provider is raising premiums for everyone else. Both manufacturers and insurance companies have worked tirelessly together in order to build the safest, most fragile, and most…
Tesla is publicly traded, so this decision was made by their board of directors.
