Meatless burgers are not vegan. Why is it not surprising that vegans don’t eat them? Most of them swore off fast food entirely because fast food has been so historically, awfully unaccommodating of vegans.

I got news for you. Impossible and Beyond, and all the faux meat competitors soon to come to market, have never offered, and will never offer, a healthy product. You’ve read the Nutrition Facts on these, haven’t you?

Why should gay or drag culture be defined by Lady Gaga’s personal sense of taste?

That’s the long-term cost of all these “efficiency” gains. You can make anyone work harder and longer to get more widgets produced in the same 24 hours, but you will net diminishing returns as the workers become progressively more exhausted. Eventually the quality goes down, the workers have to take more sick leave,

Rest assured, people will never stop eating “certain critters”. Veganism doesn’t work if you can’t grow plants, which basically rules out a lot of people living in the extreme north and south of the globe. And we can’t make our dogs and cats go vegan, so there’s always a market for meat even when the humans start to

Going by your logic then the Dreamcast must be still alive because JoshProd keeps releasing games for it.

You can either have the Amazon rainforest, or you can have prime rib, not both. Raising cows is literally killing the rest of the animals in that graphic.

The target market for Impossible and Beyond isn’t the high-end at all. While these are more expensive than real meats for the time being, the end game is that they want to replace the trash meats found in burgers from places like Carl’s Jr. and White Castle.

There are no easy answers for the ever-growing issues of poverty and homelessness in the U.S.

I also wonder what sort of impact it has on society that sex workers see wealthy club patrons as a net benefit, or that they see these people only for the amount of money they can toss to the stage.

Wow, the sauce costs more than the labor? Also, the profit works out to 3.3 times the price of the labor? No wonder people can’t afford $16 pies, their labor is less valuable than the sauce.

My thoughts exactly.

None of this would be a problem if western culture wasn’t so sexually repressive. You can gauge your fertility just by sticking a finger up there and checking the consistency of the fluid, but that’s too close to masturbation I guess.

This is like that free couch you see on the side of a highway.

Have you been to a Scandinavian country recently? The strength of that social safety net is being tested with all the recent migrant arrivals. Some countries, like Sweden, aren’t doing very well to extend their benefits to the migrants, leading to violence in the streets.

And this is somehow worse than gradual devaluing of the US dollar due to inflation?

Who the hell uses metal spoons to stir a dish while it cooks? That’s the fastest way to ensure your cookware and your spoons develop scratches.

Hope you enjoy eating poop. Those cows you’re eating spend their entire lives standing, sitting, eating, and sleeping in their own excrement. Unless you’ve personally seen or helped raise the cow yourself, it’s pretty much a given that you’re eating a weak, diseased animal grown on a factory farm swimming in poop.

Haven’t been able to try Impossible, it’s not available near me.

This is stupid. Lemon juice has a pH of 2-3, but I don’t see the ADA going around advising lemonade drinkers to use straws, or telling folks to lay off the eggs benedict and hummus.
