See my response below. I have lived in Ohio 20 years. It's more red than purple. There has been one democratic governor in that time, who had one term. And was mostly elected because the outgoing Republican governor was pretty corrupt, and made it for it by being incompetent.

Sherrod is a Democrat in a red state. Of course he's courting cops and firemen for a 2020 run. I've voted for him, and his redeeming qualities are he isn't a republican. I mean, I'd vote for him over Trump, but I also hope he isn't the democratic candidate.

If Pence wants to say it’s about the legislative process, then why didn’t Trump sign the spending bills the House and Senate passed? Then why not stay out of it and just use whatever Congress authorizes?

Look at his trade “negotiations”. He rips up the existing deal and negotiates back to almost the same place. Then says he’s wonderful and his supporters believe it.

Yep. And that's why his offer is dead. It's a short extension, past the next election. No one wants to just kick this down the road. If it was a permanent solution, he might get some interest.
