Like the current Ranger, the Ecosport is a rest-of-world car that was only introduced to the US a couple years ago. The nameplate has been used in developing countries since 2003.

I thought Lutz’s whole deal was putting LS motors in previously electrified cars? And flying his jet around like Billy Badass while saying something extremely un-PC.

Our Lord and Savior Bozi and I got in a super long, super dumb twitter argument with someone that chose “fan speed should only every be in a touch screen sub menu because why would you adjust climate control while driving” as a hill to die on several months ago.

At least his first name isn’t Richard...

Also tell your brother he got the best color and I’m still salty that the 2019 didn’t come in any good colors.

It definitely can baby, it’s just not the tool I’d choose. A backward facing child seat basically rules out having a front passenger unless your wife is like 4' 11", especially with the Recaro buckets like I have.

I was in a pretty similar boat when I got my Fiesta ST. Was down to Mazda6, FiST, WRX, and Subaru Forester with a manual. Ended up with the ST because I got a job with a Ford dealer and got a killer deal. 15" steelies with big squishy snow tires help a lot with terrible midwest winter roads.

Reminds me of the old Lancer EVO adage “$40,000 drivetrain with a free car on top.”

The finest stock car racing documentary ever made if you ask me.

Willy T. tweeted a few weeks back that the most racist person he ever met in racing was Jackie Stewart, so you’re probably not too far off.

It takes a big man to admit this. Not that I’d know...

I work for a dealership, and the amount of time I had to spend convincing my own boss to order me a car exactly the way I wanted it was ridiculous. I had to hit him with the “why are you trying to kill a guarantied sale?” more than once.

I know in my heart of hearts that there’s at least one VP at Mazda that is salty the CX-9 doesn’t come with a manual.

I definitely steered with my knee while clutchless shifting and holding my phone/a sandwich on more than one occasion in high school. I was also an idiot.

I passed on the current Mazda6 as my first ever new car because you couldn’t get any options with a manual. The sales guy told me I was the 3rd person THAT WEEK that walked out because no heated seats/sunroof with the stick.

NACA just never got on the trendwatch blogs, I guess. Via History:

This was part of the reason I passed on one for a daily. I couldn’t keep up with traffic and stay in EV mode.

They go through 12V batteries really fast, but we haven’t seen a ton of other problems with them at my Ford store. Outside of the whole “Ford must recall every door latch and grab handle at least once for each model” thing.

This thing is priced right where it should be. The HOV sticker makes it an easy NP.
