Only had one angry gray comment from this. I expected worse from you, Kinja.
When people trot out the “wait times” trope of socialized medicine, I always have to resist the urge to talk about how I had to wait 9 months for a freakin colonoscopy at one of the biggest hospital networks in the US. And it cost like 2 grand out of pocket for the privilege.
Yeah the cheapest “good” G8 GT I’ve seen on cars.com was still close to 20K.
Doing the lord’s work out here.
There’s an article?! I’M JUST HERE TO YELL!
The cheapest manual G8 I've ever seen was like $20,000
I did my part. The only new cars I’ve bought have been manuals. Bow before me, nerds.
“A rising tide lifts all boats” he muttered from underneath his leaky 175k mile 535i with seat twist and no air conditioning.
Who knows. We ended up lemon lawing one, and another one got bought back and wholesaled because the engine blew up before the customer made his first payment. They’re just steaming hunks of shit.
Is he suspended in a harness like a monster truck? Or does he just get launched through the windshield when someone cuts his self-driving hamster wheel off in traffic?
You have a Ram ProMaster van with a self-driving system that doesn’t exist in our reality yet. What are you going to do with it?
We had a disposal system in our campus diesel shop I think, or at least a holding tank for it. And our waste oil disposal guy would take it away when he came every couple weeks. Gotta have a contingency plan when you have 2-dozen part time college kids and TAs and multiple fuel sources. Mistakes happen.
This reminded me of when my boss put 300 gallons of gasoline into one of our diesel motor coaches at my college job. Turns out finding a place to put 300 gallons of contaminated gas is pretty difficult when you’re 80 miles from the nearest major city/ fleet repair shop.
“I don’t have to take the intake apart to change the plugs? NO THANK YOU!”
I’ve literally never seen a 1st gen Legend without visible rust, so I’m all in on NP. Especially at the corrected $3,200 someone else mentioned.
I realized I knew more than your average idiot when I took an old Camry to the buyer’s preferred shop for a PPI, and the shop owner offered me a full time job after looking the car over.
I’m in the same boat as you right now, hunting steering and suspension issues on the E34. Spent last weekend replacing all the rear subframe bushings, and this weekend will be new front control arms and a Bilstein B12 spring and damper kit (yay spring compressors!) Working on this car has taught me that I’m terrible…
“Where were you all then, when RVs needed you?”
Town Cars are dope. Get little fender flags (country or agency is dealer’s choice) and 5% tint for it.
