1st Gear:

finally, this one from a dealer in Columbus, Ohio:

My dealership has one (1) sales appointment scheduled for the rest of this week. Things are gonna get a lot worse before they get better.

Gonna make a killing in the post-virus apocalypse with my dehydrated water supply!

“Car, but make it fashion.”

My favorite part of the GTR was that using factory-provided launch control voided the warranty on the first few model years.

I’ve been looking for a hot minute. And yes, he is.

Neutral: I asked my boss if we had a contingency plan and he laughed at me, so things are going well here in Ohio.

I work for a dealer so I see way more than average, but I’ve gotten in brand new vehicles where this stuff hasn’t worked right. Ford is also in the crosshairs of a number of SYNC-related class action suits this year.

Probably an extra cost option. You can already get beadlocks for the Raptor through Ford Performance.

I just made a B-line for the comments and started yelling

Plus all the paint on the hood will come off.

It’s not that great. And I’ve never been able to try the trailer back up system because none of my family’s trailers are the right dimensions to make it work. From all the trade ins I see at work, I don’t have high hopes for longevity with any of these systems.

You’re not supposed to say that part out loud. But that is why we’re called “commentors,” not “readers.”

A small, cheap one is about all I’d tolerate long term. Anything with active park assist, front sensors, multiple cameras, etc. has tons of problems, even under warranty. SYNC is a mess just on its own.

It’s like a butched up 1st gen CR-V or Escape. I don’t hate it.

Ford has had strut-phobia for the last decade or so.

You’ve clearly not driven a Ford lately.

If a new car is purchased, it must be offset by a particularly high mileage British/German luxury car that retailed for at least double what the new car cost. - Jalop User Guide, p. 5 article 42.0.69

Originality is overrated. This guy took the good parts from all the years and made a nice looking driver with the good motor and gearbox. I’d buy it and swap on some slot mags.
