I’ve been driving in MN for over 40 years, and winter tires went out in the 70s. All season tires have been the standard for the vast majority of people for decades. Only odd people do the winter tire thing these days.

Unless Michelins are the only option, they’re almost never worth it for a non-tracked car. It’s diminishing returns, a good set of Continentals may be 50% more than the walmart brands but they’re 50-100% better, Michelins are 20+% more but maaaaybe 5% better at best...

I wish I had the space and price for a dedicated set of winter tires but that is not going to happen. I try to get the all season with the best winter traction and 3 mountain peak rating. Yes I KNOW I am to have a set of winter tires but the extra $1500 AND the storage space are real issues.
