In fact, it only ‘solves” a problem that is created by the presence of a yoke. No yoke, no need for this system.

“...mirrors are fucking useless.

Not according to most manufacturers' maintenance schedules.

LMAO... That’s like giving a caffeinated teenager the keys to a Lamborghini and expecting them not to smash it into a pole.

Meh. On a used car, perhaps. On a new car, it’s not that risky, especially if you’re locking in a low interest rate.

Ford Maverick.

He must’ve gotten nervous when the Integra kept up with him for the first 60ft, and then punched it. Oops.

Two cars come to mind:

Nailed it. The only real market for this car is extremely niche. You need someone that is nostalgic for this particular car who has $10k lying around that they don’t expect to get back. No bank is going lend you more than $5k against this, even in this crazy market, which basically prices out folks shopping in the $10k

Oversized exterior. Check. Undersized (relatively) interior. Check. Underpowered and inefficient powertrain. Check.

That wouldn’t be to the bank’s advantage, so of course not.

But then the market went nuts, so every car price is hard to swallow these days.

Someone that works in the same campus that I do has a QF. It looks even better in person. Absolutely gorgeous, and you know it drives better than just about anything else. I really do hope it’s under warranty, though.

No warranty = no dice.

Exactly. I don’t understand all of the praise that the exterior design received when it was first released. To my eyes, it looks like a butched-up Scion TC.

Exactly. You can’t buy a brand new sedan/hatch that gets 40 mpg for $20k, let alone one that can carry serious amounts of cargo/people.

I had the opposite reaction. I though the SC looked stubby in person, kinda toy-like. I thought the Maverick looked more like a traditional small truck than I expected. Different strokes, right?

I bought a beater 2007 Hyundai Accent base model w/ air conditioning about 5 years ago from a shady used car lot because money was tight at the time. In MD, you have to have a safety inspection certificate to sell/register any car in addition to the emissions test. This makes it easier to deal with dealerships since

You forgot the other major hurdle to population control: perpetual growth economies. If we expect our economy to constantly grow, we need consumers to feed that growth. So there's virtually no hope that policy decisions will be made to the contrary. Pretty morbid, huh?

Oof. I hope you got your deposit back
