I WANT a 5.oL V8 Lariat F150 with 4WD, but only seem to find the 2.7T or 3.5TT. My dad wants to replace his V8 Platinum F150 with another V8, but again, good luck finding one. Now we’re both looking at Rams. I don’t know how much of this demand is legitimate, or if it’s manufactured by Ford and the dealers by just not

The Camaro has essentially replaced the Corvette as a “value” proposition. The SS 1LE is, by all accounts, about the best sub-$50k performance car available. What else under $80k will run with the ZL1 and ZL1 1LE? The base model Corvette seems unnecessary nowadays. I do still see value in the Grand Sport, Z06 and ZR1

This ^^^ I should have traded in my motorcycle when I bought a new one.  I’m dealing with stupid people on Craigslist and will probably end up selling it for the same amount I was offered on a trade, albeit 6 months later now.

C5 Corvette

C5 Z06, R/T Durango, VW GTI, 2 stroke and 4 stroke dirtbikes, and a boat with a Ford 6.2L. Also a CA registered Democrat and Union employee.

I picked up over 3 full seconds by going from Nitto NT05's (200 treadwear) to Toyo R888s (100 treadwear) at Buttonwillow (2:07 to 2:04, I know there’s still more time to be made). Before I even made the switch to the R888, I was only .2 seconds per lap off the leader in the Corvette Challenge time trials for my class

While a C5 Z06 won’t hang with a current Z06, it will run step for step at a track day with a C7 Z51. 3100 lbs (or less) and 405 hp translates well against a 3350 lb car with 455 hp. Grip on the run-flats it came with was 1.0g, and with a set of more modern rubber, it should out grip the current Z51 for about

Land Rover LR2 and RR Evoque,

I had a C3 and a V6 2002 Firebird. On stock suspension, my V6 Firebird would outhandle it no problem

An Orange County (CA) Dodge wont give an OTD price until you show up. I drove to Fresno and bought my truck as a result. They gave me an OTD price, sent me the docs via fax, and I spent about 45 minutes at the dealer total. I don’t negotiate in person at all.

“Laziness” doesn’t seem to be an issue at the Tesla plant. Working 60-70 hours a week leads me to believe they need to hire more people. I grew up in the Bay Area, and when “teardown” homes are over $1m (I sold mine for well over $1m when I moved to Los Angeles, and it was a P.O.S.), $20-25/hr is unrealistic. How

I agree wholeheartedly. I’m a Union teacher, and my grandfather, dad, uncle and cousins are or were Union Pipefitters, and my other grandfather (and my dad for a time) was in the UAW. I had a good life (and continue to) because of Unions.

I’m sure it’s going to create some backlash, but I’ll say it anyway. This is why Unions exist. This coming from someone who currently has a deposit on the Model 3.

I hate when people assume every 16 year old wrecks everything they drive. I had an ‘02 Firebird (in 2002 no less) and regular access to dad’s 4 speed C3 Corvette with VBP suspension and brakes. I never wrecked either and drove the piss out of them. A V6 Challenger is about ideal - Big, stylish, looks cool (despite

Where can I get that front end and hood for my 2014 R/T?

This is the funniest thing I’ve seen today

That explains this one application, but 99% of people who do it are driving around town (not counting tractor pulls). I doubt they’re concerned with cylinder temps.

I don’t really get it either. I absolutely understand needing to pull heavy things or go fast, but the black smoke part?

I got caught in the rain at Streets of Willow in my C5 Z06 on Nitto R Comps. I did not have fun. The only “fun” part was watching a friend of mine in the passenger seat squirm while trying to drive sideways looking through my passenger window. It was a lot of work to go that slow. When it dried out though...

That said “air bag deployed” and is not then a “fender bender.” That’s a pretty significant hit. If it needed a new bumper, then sure. I guarantee it was more extensive than that.
