Between the Mueller report doing virtually nothing to hamper Trump and the impeachment trial doing very little, I’m starting to think Trump is bulletproof. Or, more accurately, he has that Mr. Magoo thing where despite the fact he keeps walking into danger, he ends up fine by happenstance.

At one of the first family gatherings I went to at my partner’s family’s house, her 12-yo niece plainly stated “I think Trump is a good man” and my partner’s mom quickly co-signed the sentiment.

And mouth fleas!

Starred for alliteration :)

I love Top 10's, and I recently went through my personal list of sitcoms. The Good Place made it to my No. 2 spot (B99 is my No.1 and Malcolm in the Middle is my No. 3, for whatever that’s worth.)

I tried reading GR once, and at first I really enjoyed the first chapter where people were making a bunch of stuff from bananas. Then half a dozen character jumps later, I tapped out.

The second paragraph has an extra “pet” in there, and its placement almost reads as if Harry merely just wanted to pet his son Archie. This made me chuckle.

If I am being honest, I have no idea if I would have liked the above story any more than what we got (TRoS is probably in my bottom three SW movies, if a barometer of taste is helpful).

It’s clearly the best possible iteration of his name. It has organically come up in so many different environments, the name Joey Pants must have been fate in the works.

Oh, yeah, I get that. I just like that with all of our minds combined, we’ve decided that Joey Pants is clearly the best name for him.

More than any other book series, Animorphs was my childhood. I was more excited over new entries in the series than I was most video games, movies and TV shows. Tobias’s existence stuck as a red-tailed hawk was one of the first heavy psychological horrors I remember reading. Rachel first turning into an elephant (I

I am glad I am not the only person who refers to him as Joey Pants! I think I nabbed that nickname from the Ready to Rumble DVD commentary, and I haven’t looked back since.

The last time I had jury duty, they played Kevin James’s opus Here Comes the Boom.

My theory is that he likes putting testing to see how much of his shit people will buy.

Not calling you a liar, but I have spent more time than I would have liked trying to find quotes from RotJ that support Palpatine threatened to turn Leia to the darkside, and I failed to find anything. This leads me to believe that *if* Palpaptine did make that threat in RotJ, it was minor enough to be forgotten by

Audience expectations does not equal storytelling, though. Its the filmmakers jobs to tell (show) the story. Keep in mind that’s where my complaint centers—on the story tellers.

I think that’s an interesting read, and I could see season 3 supporting that/going in that direction. I’d be into seeing that explored.

I think part of good storytelling is understanding that not every member of your audience is going to have the last dialogue of Luke and Leia from a 1983 film at the forefront of their mind in 2019.

I am inclined to agree with you there. I think I am one of the two people I know irl who have actually seen The Boy.

I guess that’s where we disagree. I believe the character Wendy has shown throughout the show that she cares more about her family than power.
