I may not agree with you, but I respect your resolve. And Seinfeld reference.

Everybody has their own tastes, but do you *really* think A Whole New World is worse than just about any song from Princess and the Frog (not counting “Friends on the Other Side” which was wonderful).

I read it as “Schedinger’s Dong” for a second, and it caused many giggles. I am apparently a child.

That’s because your face is made of lasers. You got no stake in this!

THC has been with me since watching reruns of Wings on USA Network during my childhood. He has an easy comedic charm that makes me love whatever character he’s playing, even if the character is a jerk.

While not the most outrageous story about somebody in the biz, Michael McDonald had a decent This is Not Happening segment about working with Miss Dunaway.

I can’t tell if I’d love to be a member of those brothers because they’d likely kick me in the ass regarding exercising, or if I’d hate it, because I am dumpy and they are gorgeous.

Today hasn’t been a great day, but envisioning “locking somebody in a room and setting it on fire” as a form of horseplay brought genuine, uncontrollable giggles to me for a moment.

Maybe not as bad, but as a 17-year-old I saw the film Closer in theaters with my mom.

I agree that “fallible” was a poor word choice, because I do agree that opinions can’t be right or wrong. But there are certainly good or bad opinions, and I believe Ebert certainly had some bad opinions.

They’re being a complete asshole in a different thread, too.

I have been using the hands method for years now, and it is so easy and basic that I am shocked when I see my friends fussing around with egg shells. I mean, if I am going to use something outside of my hands, at least a slotted spoon doesn’t require delicate sloshing back and forth.

OK, not one but TWO of you happen to say that the red Starbursts are terrible?!? Are we even eating the same candy? Pink is the best, certainly, but its lieutenant in good taste is certainly red. Of the original flavors, orange is the hands down loser.

And Evolution!

What did you dislike about Bringing out the Dead? I’m halfway believing that the people snarking at its inclusion here haven’t seen it, but I figure your reasoning will likely give me some insight.

I am also a fan of Big Fish. I liked its dealing with what was essentially magical realism. Plus, I grew up in a family where tall tales were often shared at gatherings.

I feel like Ebert—while undeniably knowledgeable, passionate and articulate—was “wrong” on occasion. He decried Friday the 13th: the Final Chapter as filth (considering the genre, this was one of the better made/written ones); his review of Lynch’s Blue Velvet was 1 star; and he refused to acknowledge video games as

The Big Kahuna is certainly a deep cut. Don’t get me wrong—I love(d) it (Spacey has made me hesitant to rewatch it). It was a great character-driven story with moments of insight and emotion I wasn’t expecting. Plus, Spacey *was* hilarious. However, I think you and I are the only people to see that movie.

Thank you thank you thank you for mentioning Bringing out the Dead. It’s been one of my favorites since seeing it in theaters. It’s an underrated Scorsese flick, an underrated Cage flick, just underrated in general. It is the kind of movie that stirs up optimism in me and then smashes it to bits only to try to piece

“A month ago, we weren’t really having this conversation, and all of a sudden a 15-year-old on television, who would just as soon be eating Doritos and playing video games, wants to tell me that my constitution needs to be changed. Really?”
