I honestly think that might just be the prerogative of the author. I’ve been noticing Joan Summers is an odd duck with some of her takes. Or she’s dripping with satire. I can’t tell which.

Typically, no. I believe the above videos could have had CATS substituted with borderline anything, and those actual cats would have had the same reaction.

That image of Chris Hemsworth on stage is baffling. He’s huge with huge muscles, and yet he still looks like a lithe and lean person in that pic. Tailors are the world’s only real wizards.

+ Mahershala Ali as Blade is casting I never thought of but seems perfect. I went from having zero interest in seeing Blade revamped to having a nonzero amount of interest.

Thank you for putting words to my thoughts. I am cautiously optimistic about this project at best.

The first season of Ozark was really good, imo. I thought the characters were interesting, the subject was novel enough, and the handling of the show’s aesthetics was fine (the blue tint another person commented on is either going to be a hit or a miss for each individual).

First, I’m likely going to watch these, and likely in theatre. That’s honestly probably a given for me.

The double “ua” in both names really sells this for me. Well done :)

Oh, shit. I’ve watched Taxi and failed to make the connection to Stuber.

Hard agree. He has an emotionality in him that, if anything, is only made more captivating due its juxtaposition to his beefy exterior. Beyond Blade Runner, I feel like he displayed emotional depth in GotG 2, and I am hungry for more.

Murray and Alexei were really something. I liked them a lot. I was more impacted by the scene at the carnival than I would have expected.

Hard agree. I said it elsewhere, but McConnel is a poison in our government, and the fact that Kentuckians let him stick around so long is baffling.

Agreed. McConnel is a poison, and he needs to be purged from our system of government at (virtually) any cost.

I am waiting for the day where Tucker’s life crumbles around him. His wife will find his drawer full of mayonnaise porn and leave him; Fox News will replace him with a human-size thumb; and his only friends will be three white supremacists that are too dumb to chew tobacco and jack it to a truck magazine at the same

Murray was my favorite throughout the last few episodes. His reaction to the singing was extra priceless for me considering how much he already displayed annoyance with having to work with kids. (“Why is this four-year-old talking to me?)

I don’t like Billy Idol, but I like this joke a heckuva lot.

Photos can sometimes leave out context, but in the case of this dude, I decided my opinion as soon as I saw his pics as he was on the phone. He looks as smug as that kid who blocked the Native American vet, and that is a type of shittiness that doesn’t need a lot of context.

Every time I pop into one of these, I feel like I always end up siding with KB, and this week is no different.

You are right, 100 percent. I only remember the tweet because Web sites bring it up. Just four days ago, if somebody had mentioned “Kevin Smith’s The Tweet” I would have assumed he was making a technocentric horror flick.

Right, but even believing the fueling aspect is a lot cynical and/or paranoid, imo. Like I said, it isn’t inconceivable; but I really hope it isn’t the case, and I would need evidence to believe it.
