KND and X-Men Evolution were great.

An aside on Short Circuit, it was just pointed out to me THIS WEEK that Fisher Stevens and Cat Stevens are not the same person (I don’t listen to the latter’s music and never looked him up). The result was that I had been so back asswards in my knowledge and beliefs, I had been thinking for decades that Cat Stevens

I largely agree with you. The tweet itself is harmless and, in its own way, kinda sweet.

Oh, let it be known, I do not think you need to watch or like All That to be a 90s kid (I stopped watching All That around season 3). My parents divorced when I was young, and my dad’s house had cable whereas my mom’s house did not (which is where I spent most of my time).

They were still airing new episodes of Pete & Pete at that point too and you’re never too old for Pete & Pete.

The reasonable person in me of course wants to leave room open for people experiencing life differently. In earnest, I have no problem with people claiming to be a 90s kid AND championing Carvey as Perot. Sincerely :)

I’ll tell you this much, I don’t often drink, but when I do I usually end up shouting “Tequila is my lady!” :)

I just want to chime in and assure you that you aren’t losing you’re mind. You are making a valid point (one point that you’ve had to make many, many times, unfortunately), and I am surprised there are those having such a hard time with this.

My money is on the cat from Hocus Pocus.

Is Ellis supposing that Disney’s own marketing (or black ops branch of marketing) started the anti-Ariel hashtag? I am not saying it is impossible—I’m not even saying it is unlikely. But to believe that would either require solid evidence (of which I haven’t seen yet), or a lot of cynicism and/or a tinfoil hat. And I

This .gif may have just inspired me to watch Cabin in the Woods sometime this week. It’s been a good year or so since I last enjoyed it, so why not?

I take issue with the embedded tweet from Robert Maguire.

Right?!? That’s what I remembered. And that doesn’t read as bully to me. Dumb teen, sure. But not bully.

Russel was so good as Elvis, they got him to do it again (sorta) in 3,000 Miles to Graceland! ; )

I am always happy to hear you confirm that Steve Martin was a decent guy. I’ve never been his biggest fan, but he was an ever-present actor in the movies I watched often as a kid (Three Amigos; Little Shop of Horrors; Planes, Trains, and Automobiles) and I read his novella Shop Girl at a coming-of-age time in my life

It makes me nervous that Bieber keeps poking Tom Cruise. If Cruise gets agitated enough, he might go full-fledged Super Saiyan and blow up the planet.

As a child of the 90s, I grew up watching many types of When Nature Strikes sorta horror movies—Arachnophobia, Deadly Invasion: The Killer Bee Nightmare, Lake Placid. Hell, when I was a kid, one of the TV specials that got me and my friends the most excited were the literal When Animals Attack! film footage shows.

On the subject of Steve, was he an actual bully in S1? I haven’t watched it in some time, but he seemed more like just a popular kid. I remember him breaking Jon’s camera and photographs, but that was because Jon had been taking peeping tom pics of Steve and co. at his pool. I’m not arguing that Steve *should* have

Only tangentially related, but I recently re-stumbled across Hedberg’s bit about ordering a banana bread-pastrami-cottage cheese sandwich and fell in love with him all over again.

Crawl: OK, I just went through IMDB and I acknowledge that Barry Pepper has been in a number of films since 2000. But Crawl is starring Battlefield Earth’s Barry Pepper, and I am just now learning this? I clocked Scodelario a mile away but had no idea that was Pepper. I hope this movie ends up as stupidly fun as it
