Ellen Page had her own experience with Brett Ratner. She knows what happens to those who speak up.

This, so much this.

Another parasite who is looking to capitalize on the dying me too movement before it’s too late.

Right? It would literally be the same as someone hiring Kevin Spacey today and then complaining one year from now that they didn’t know he had been accused of sexual harassment and assault.

They weren’t unaware of anything. Literally, half the country has been calling Allen a pedophile and a creep since 1992- since Soon Yi.

Even worse:

Bullshit.

Fucking Hollywood people. Jesus.

How were these people unaware of Woody Allen’s despicable reputation in 2012? The original stories of alleged abuse and him sleeping with Soon-Yi happened 20 years before that.

What is she referring to that Dylan made public in 2012? It’s no secret that Allen married his adopted daughter (or whatever) way before that, right? It’s also not a secret that Mia accused him of all kinds of stuff, including molestation, way before 2012, right?

Keeping it real went wrong.

Hollywood is a colossal circle jerk. Nothing will change other than the bad actors being more careful and shady.

Regardless of whether it was the “right” thing to do, not saying much or anything was clearly the most pragmatic course of action.

People will complain that women should be saying it, that men have no place talking about an issue they don’t know anything about. Or to quote that other commenter up there who said it better than me: “Exactly, if one of these men used the podium to speechify, the article would be: “Note to Hollywood Men, for just 3

I’m just saying if you’re going to blame everyone who didn’t speak up, I just hope you’re blaming EVERYONE.

I am ten thousand percent unsurprised that in a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” scenario, people start throwing their hands in the air and going “fuck it.”

Demean them for being silent on stage. Demean them for talking about it backstage.
