#WhiteMenFailingUpwards

.... I was about to post all those testimonials from his former classmates, who reviled him pretty unanimously, but I see NewAroundHere has already started that ball rolling, heheh. Miller was a balding racist misogynist cunt in school and nobody liked him, just like now. Quel surprise.

Now playing

Oh, despite his looks, he’s young enough that his HS years are actually documented on video. Ever seen his campaign to become student president? Such a charmer.

Wait...are both Becky 1 and Becky 2 involved in this?

In high school he crashed a girls track meet to prove men were naturally faster. So, yeah...

Authoritarians LOVE their Daddy figures.

And half a troop of Cub Scouts moldering away in his crawlspace

His point is obvious : Harbour cares about a cause, but he’s not up to speed on the social media feeding frenzy, and that somehow makes him an asshole, which is puerile, stupid, self serving, and a good opportunity for other performers of the cause to pile on him and make themselves look good.

Yes but it’s (outrage) also an integral part of the human emotional system. Conflicting opinions are too. Outrage can be a motivator for good and evil deeds but mostly it’s a soul-sucker that sows hatred of our neighbors, fellow humans and builds callousness. Case in point, right now, I hate everybody.

But those hashtags do not represent the majority of women, not even the majority of feminists. Anyone can feel like their group is victimized if they read too many hashtags and comment boards. That is where civility goes to die. Also, people who have been mistreated need to vent sometimes, without editing. Some do it

This is getting a bit much. Opened up jezebel and here the first two articles are about what assholes men are cause they don’t know what times Up means, they thanked their girlfriend and wife, etc. Can we stop with this?? Let’s agree These guys showed up, applauded women who deserved celebration and leave it at that.

I thought it was hilarious all these people wearing black, the theme of the night being “sexual harassment awareness.” All going on during this ridiculous, self-congratulatory party for people that want to pretend they’re important.

They’re actors though lol. They do that for a living. I just think this entire article is odd, and really depressing because people are looking to privileged people for feigned solidarity about social issues at a press event for privileged people, for what exactly?

You think these pins came with some sort of educational class? I’d be shocked if they weren’t just handing these pins out willy-nilly to all the celebs.

“...people like you are just mad...”

If they did talk jez would be bitching about how they didn’t say the right thing or it wasn’t enough

I think the guys were smart enough to more or less to keep their mouths shut. It wasn’t their time or place. But...

You can support a cause and have genuine belief in it, yet have trouble thinking up a snappy line when asked on the spot. Harbour is a meandering story teller type, not a super quick one-liner type.
