I don’t remember Patapon 2 having multiplayer, but 3 did. I never finished 3 because it was packed too much with stuff. Patapon 2 was the peak of the series and still my favorite.

I backed this project with the hopes that it will be good, but I’m wary like most people. I haven’t had great luck with Kickstarter games.

IIRC it wasn’t full multiplayer as much as it was another person’s Patapon Hero could be sent out to your game to help out on special missions. Sort of like the Pawn system from Dragon’s Dogma.

Shades of LocoRoco in there too.

They found what looked like a tape backup, but it turned out to be Laserbeak in disguise. (He was part of a deep cover mission to make Starscream look like an idiot...)

From the sounds of it, during office moves and whatnot, some of the archived stuff (after the ‘closing’ of High Moon Studios) is likely just in storage somewhere and not catalogued accurately. They have permission. Explicitly and contractually.

I am hyped, I only watched castlevania last year but it was pretty good from beginning to end. Curious to see if Alucard makes an appearance this season.

That argument keeps getting weaker as more and more games ship in an incomplete form that requires an additional download or require day 1 patches to be playable. Your physical copies are highly likely to just turn into pretty coasters when servers shut down all the same.

From the article above:

So in conclusion:

And people laugh at me when I say I always buy physical over digital…

As bad as it is now, the internet is going to be sooooo shit in like 3-ish years
