In the words of the great Bill Amend, "It's not stealing, it's homage!"

Believe it or not, it was supermarkets that overexposed me to Sixpence many moons ago. It was my first real job in the late nineties working at a supermarket in my hometown, and the muzak system LOVED sixpence. That is what created the seething hatred in me today.

To be fair, I did say Sixpence in the original comment, but no big. ;) I'll check out the original. I'm always up for opening the old mind. I bet you have the same kind of reaction that I have to anyone who covers Supertramps "Give a Little Bit" and then proceeds to do it terribly. It makes me sad.

I'm specifically referring to the Sixpence version. I have never heard the original one. Please do not take offense; it's not directed at the version you like. The original may very well be much better. There is a reason why I wrote "sixpence" in the comment. :V

I hate that band, and I hate that song. I could write several Hatesong columns on Sixpence. I hate you for reminding me of it.

I still use "That [something] cost FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARU" in regular conversation, so that has it going for it.

Oh yeah, this is still a thing apparently.

What fevered dream is this that bids to tear this company in twain?

Once again, the conservative, sandwich-heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor!

Make sure to listen to the hidden audio recordings (one in the Library and another in the Cemetery) for, well, a surprise.

A Leela of her Own is worth it just for the Bob Uecker-isms.

On a company phone, sure, but not on your personal phone. They can get a subpoena or they can pound sand.

She was also Ellie from Xenogears! Back when anime cutscenes on Playstation discs was a "selling point" rather than a cautionary warning.

The elusive Mike Epps continues to thumb his nose at the people behind the previous Uncle Buck. Swaggering about in a garish new hat, he seemed to say, "Look at me, Estate of John Hughes—I have a new hat!"

You know, I've been on kind of a Project kick lately. I rediscovered the entirety of "Turn of a Friendly Card" and man, does that album really hold up. Especially the sixteen minute title suite on the B-side.

Is this one of those Jefferson Starships I've heard so much about?

Those LPs of mine are all up on the LP Archive, at least. You can see my BC 09 LP, RTCW, and so on as well. I wound up redoing the Bionic Commando NES playthrough, but it's not up on the archive for whatever reason. I should probably upload those videos to youtube. Yes, there's a lot of lost video with the death of
