Phantasmagoria was a childhood favorite and it definitely scared me as a child; I replayed it recently and a lot of it doesn’t hold up (including that rape scene struck me as bizarre years ago, now it just seems even worse) but the core idea of the game is at least somewhat scary. Purely in terms of atmosphere, a lot

Phantasmagoria was cheesy even back then. I’m sure the over-the-top acting and gore are even more funny now and would make good gif fodder.

Phantasmagoria fucked me up because I never picked up the snowman....

We need a ZAMN remake on new consoles.

Wait, wasn’t the frog from Heart of Stone?

Seconding the recommendation for Statik. Not a very long game, but worth every penny (for anyone who likes puzzle games).

I think it’s incredible that it works at all and the fact that it works so well just blows my mind. OK, it’s lower res. And wearing the damn thing isn’t that much fun. And it’s better if I switch my glasses for contacts. And I do get bit sea sick with the more arcadey style racers. If the car actually flips and rolls

Salutations~!

Well, I finally decided on what my next game project is now that Prey is all taken care of, though I’ll be playing other games along with it. And that’s because the game is Xenoblade Chronicles, the absolutely massive, 100+ (150+?) hour MMO-inspired sandbox JRPG that pushed the Nintendo Wii well past its technical

I’m really surprised to hear how good the Astro Bot game is. I actually really enjoyed the little platforming level a part of the several Astro Bot mini games, but I wasn’t too interested in a stand alone version. But man, people have been loving it it seems, so I might have to try it out.

Never had the pleasure of playing it. If it’s anything like the Sega Master System game released around the same time, I’m guessing it too is a hokey but charming Kung Fu analog.

I climbed the to the top of the mountain in Celeste. Pretty much one of the best platformers ever made I’d say. Spelunky is #1 for me and probably always will be unless Spelunky 2 somehow does it bigger and better, which I hope it does. But this definitely could easily fit as the #2 best platformer ever.

The Zelda article has been released! I probably will go back at least a bit to this Ocarina of Time run I did for research (though I’m gonna skip Ganon’s Tower), but I’m glad I managed to get to the point where the game clicked for me again. Really, just being adult Link helped. The Water Temple remains something I

It could even go the Rogue Legacy route where you lose a percentage of the money every time you die. In Rogue, they even have upgrades to increase the percentage kept, which is super important. I really want to check this one out. I have a prettt by wishlist so far on PSVR.

Salutations everybody~!

I say that my favorite movie is Vertigo so I look smart. But in reality it’s Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
