NOT CANON
Jesus. If only I had some kind of way to express how I feel about ... wait a minute! Something’s coming back to me! Something I used to enjoy!
This is a weird one. A person I’ve never met, but for whom I feel great affection, just quit his job, and I’m really, really happy for this stranger.
I’ve been rather stressed recently, so it seems odd I am finding solace in a game where every journey threatens nightmares, death or worse; Sunless Sea.
Salutations~!
Oh, Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight, how I love thee. I’ve pretty much done most of everything - saved all the grubs, close to getting that 1800 Essence, combed the wonderful world that is Hollownest, and feeling ready to at least try the final, final boss (and maybe the last tier of the Coliseum?). It’s…
Exactly. We’re led to believe the handmaid shortage was acute enough they brought back Emily and Janine from the colonies. What they did was as bad or worse than Eden’s crime. It made no sense.
Careful. Those Scientologists are fucking scary stalkers. I pushed back against one of them on another website that featured an article about Leah Remini and the fucker followed me around from one disqus site to another for about a week before I finally opted to hide my comment history.
That’s why I found Eden’s death so unbelievable. They started this whole thing because babies were in short supply. Now they’re going to kill a possibly fertile 15-year-old? June was made a handmaid because of her adultery we’re told. Why didn’t they make Eden a handmaid?
I bet Shelly Miscavige wishes she could escape to Canada. Wherever she is being held in the 11 years since she disappeared. Maybe Elisabeth could help her with that.
June is an anti-hero-- a certain kind of character in a particular kind of story. The foundation of June’s character is that she is one normal, average woman among many who were thrusted into this perverted situation. To go and make her the face of the entire resistance wouldn’t be true to her character or to the…
I just finished up my third Red Dead Redemption playthrough. According to the trophies, I started this playthrough over 4 years ago, as I apparently tackled an Act every two years. And I’m sad to say that while only playing the main missions it’s clear that the game is looking rather old and tired, and not in a…
You know what, Splatoon 2? You’re great, but I don’t wanna talk about you, or Fire Emblem Heroes. This week, all I want to talk about is Hollow Knight. And boy, it’s something. I could talk forever about how great it is as a Metroidvania, with so many accessible paths it never feels linear in the way some (even ones I…
Really happy to see Captain Toad on the Switch. That was a game that was woefully under appreciated on the Wii U... Note to all : Buy it and play it. It was one of the best games of the last gen of Nintendo console.
I still use the Wii U for Wii Fit... Don’t laugh - it’s kept off 60 pounds since the original Wii days for me.

“Until you learn to master your rage—”
“Your rage will become your master? [Long pause] That’s what you were going to say, right?”
“Not necessarily.”
Wes Studi is a national treasure.
Gorogoa is down! This was no less difficult and obtuse when I started it, but damned if it wasn’t an unbelievably brilliant puzzle game. I’m normally okay with taking some hints in games to move the story along, but I refused here - I mean, the story is the puzzles. One of the later sections had me damn near lose my…
Speaking of The Yawhg, maybe check out To Be or Not To Be! It’s basically a choose-your-own-adventure version of Hamlet. It’s pretty basic (it’s pretty much an audiobook with cute graphics), but it’s not bad for $3. Also it’s written by Ryan North, so you get some real gems in there.
