In the words of Rocky himself:

My niece took her test a couple years back in OR and the test administrator covered up the center stack with a clipboard so she could not use the backup camera. Not sure about the sensors as their car didnt have them.

Between this, the Theta engine issue and that Hyundai does not offer collision repair information for most all of their US models (but does in the rest of the world), its like they are intentionally trying to flush their reputation down the crapper.

Coworker lost his Elantra this past weekend. Caught on camera, once the window was broken, they were in and gone in under a minute.

Yep, Flo and her gang can just Fuck. Right. OFF.

This guy coulda used that course. Didn’t even make it through the first tank of fuel.

TIL they were built on Isuzu NPR chassis.

I dont disagree, but absolute LOL @ getting a Hybrid Maverick at anywhere near MSRP.

A salvage title can be issued for many things. A car could be stolen and recovered with zero damage but if the insurance paid off in the meantime then it would be issued a salvage title.

BMW finally stopped sending us notices after the second time I called the 800 number on the notice to tell them our old E46 had been turned into the state, crushed, ceasing to be any resemblance of an E46. They really are trying to make sure these get handled.

Yep, knew one was available for these - I’d certainly want it fixed though and knowing the issues these have if it wasnt fixed before purchase I’d be looking for a several thousand dollar discount. Could be something stupid like a pressure switch but not likely.

okay, I can see that.

Neat!

That is a viable option *if* removing the compressor will allow the routing of a shorter belt that the tensioner can still keep tensioned. A/C “bypass” idler pullies exist for many common applications that bolt in place of a removed compressor.

That U-Jack is a great idea, but not at the price point when I have a perfectly functioning jack of that size already. If they would offer saddles that could be retrofitted to existing jacks then I’d be all over that. I’d bet it’ll never happen though because some spanner would screw the install up, crush themselves
