That’s great! And that’s what I intend to use an SUV for.

I’m here for all of that - but the ancient drivetrain really doesn’t belong in a vehicle produced after 2016. I’m just so frustrated by the fact that they aren’t going to touch it any time soon, and prices are dropping like crazy on 4Runners that were selling at MSRP last year.

Honestly the 4R is the best looking SUV on the market, and its looks are half the reason I’m reluctant to consider GX460s, which are especially fugly. 

I loved my V8 4R, so I’m cross shopping used GX460s almost entirely because at least they have 6 gears instead of 5. It’s ridiculous Toyota hasn’t changed a damn thing on any of these vehicles. 

I’m at the point now where I want an SUV to replace my wagon, and I can’t decide if I want a cheap new 4Runner below MSRP, which is horrendously outdated, or wait for the next gen - but it looks like a full redesign won’t happen until MY 2023, which is an eternity away.

After seeing the pics, I can see why. It’s in far too decent condition. But I applaud your strength regardless. 

The turbo V6 is rated at more torque than the V8. Why would they bother offering it with an engine that is inferior for the purpose of the Bronco?

Replaced engines in Subarus and a Honda, replaced radiators, brakes, starters, coils, plugs, redone whole suspensions, whole brake systems, head lights, fenders, fuel pumps, timing belts, exhausts, intake manifolds, driveline components....

The CRZ had a manual/hybrid setup. 

Don’t like it? Go elsewhere.

Yesterday I couldn’t believe some of the markdowns I was seeing. And yet new 4Runners are STILL TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE.
