Hey, Pence.
Hey, Pence.
Aw, Lindsay. That’s so sad.
Nah, I was getting hyperbolic about it. Although counterpoint, he did pose the (most likely rhetorical) “Who likes to read” question, which...uh....at the very least, displays a somewhat interesting conclusion about how he views people, since there are many people who do like to read. Especially since he continues to…
I honestly didn’t find that to be the strangest part, as my love lies pretty completely with the books and I find the movies just okay. They’re fine. But I’ve seen them once and that’s all I feel I need; I’m similarly somewhat lukewarm about the play and don’t feel the need to go out of my way to see it.
Flat out sexist, racist or predatory behavior seem to be written off fairly frequently as “you just can’t take a joke. It’s just a comedy routine/just an act. Stop being so sensitive about it.”
Yes, he is, which I thought was kind of obvious given the slew of other articles talking about it and that every image of him has her in it as well.
My first thought was, “who?” My second thought was, “Oh...right. Okay, so what is he doing that makes his personal relationship to Harry Potter article-worthy?”
This is it exactly. They’re attempting to come back, but there isn’t any real hint of even understanding what it is they’ve done wrong or why it’s wrong. There’s no indication they’re at all interested in changing their ways or learning from this experience, or even really acknowledging the situation, or even really…
I’m a little disappointed the Weisselberg news only ended up in Dirt Bag. I’ve been waiting for an article on it all day, but...well, better Dirt Bag than nothing.
And here I thought it was 90's nostalgia causing the resurgence.
I truly thought that was going to be a play on “Banana Republic” in there somewhere, since that comparison would fit almost as well.
That’s my discomfort as well. Every once in a while, they do the right thing for the right reasons.
He’s been here over 60 years, is 94 years old, the process took 14 years to complete and they’re trying to actually take credit for this as some sort of awesome “look what we did, this proves we’re not like them” proof?
I adore the new box design.
I would also like to have words with whoever thought that font was acceptable.
It’s tough to write a narrative about a couple of Lone Heroes when they didn’t actually do it all themselves, and doesn’t fit the narrative.
Agreed. When the reporter is explaining why Ross wasn’t included, he uses terms such as “inclusion in the narrative.” I don’t want to go so far as to say he approached the story with a certain mindset and goal, but...the terms people use to describe and defend their decisions can be telling, and it’s clear she didn’t…
My impression of Title IX was always that it was meant to help curb and limit abuse where those kinds of protections are not sufficiently present.
It’s true I missed a lot of the “retrospective” slant of the article, but that could be because I’m not nearly so optimistic. I half expect that we will be Republic of Gilead or a smoking crater in fifteen years.
Nope. Not having it, NYT.
